As someone that has trouble pulling off tough and intimidating I end up leaning into a bit of a strict but caring kinda thing. I dunno why but I find I can still slip into "stern" a bit. "oh sweet thing, I know you tried so hard but I'm a bit disappointed....I know you can do better, do it again."
