Today I saw a someone on the subway with this Nikon F5. I knew I had to chat with him and get a snap of what we were each carrying. I love that you can see a fellow photographer in the wild, a complete stranger, and most are so happy to chat about a shared passion. Love that for us.

One of my favorite images from Jin on Fallon. One of my goals ever since starting as a concert photographer years ago is to try to make images that let the viewer feel like they were at the show. To even hear the music and to feel the emotion of the performance.

I guess it would depend on the pockets. Pants pockets? With the grip it wouldn't fit in my pockets. I did consider the Z30, which is quite small, but due to the grip, I wanted something even smaller. But the Z30 would be an excellent choice if you have pockets that will fit the size of the grip.

Is ARMY here? Jin's performance of "Running Wild" on Fallon was electric. Though the audience is only about 225 people, it felt like a stadium full of ARMY. I saw many in the audience with RJ plushies, cards and other items they'd brought for Jin. It was very touching to see the love on display.

I do feel bluesky has the same vibe and feeling of what made Twitter great. I really enjoy threads for the photo community but it can feel too narrow in what the algorithm shows.

These portraits are simple, but what isn't so easily seen is that it takes a whole team of people working so hard and meticulously well in concert to make them happen every single night. I feel like I have the easiest job in just being there to press the button.

One of my favorite parts of working on the Tonight Show are the blue wall photos we do of our guests. These happen just after their appearance in the studio. I generally don’t tell anyone how to pose, so what you see is genuinely from every individual.

My first Coolpix. I was looking for a pocketable, point and shoot. I picked up the Nikon Coolpix A, which is an absolute gem: APS-C sensor with no low pass filter, exceptionally sharp and well matched 28mm f/2.8 lens, beautifully detailed RAW files. Even has a flash. My new take-everywhere camera.
