Fall is my favourite time of year to be on our interior lakes searching for rainbow trout. Yesterday I caught my largest trout of the day on a dry fly during an intense caddis hatch, which caught me by surprise, as I assumed that judging by the size of its swirl and ring, that it would be the smallest fish of the day. Good things truly do come in small packages… #kamloops #flyfishing

It is often said that “timing is everything”. This is especially relevant in regard to planning a fishing trip to coincide with our Interior lake caddis hatches, which creates a significant disturbance on the water’s surface and draws some of the largest trout from the depths… #kamloops #flyfishing
