Post an old illustration you still like ✨ This is almost 5 years old, but still a very beloved piece of mine

An art of an orc lady Knight, dressed in all green noble-lnight clothins. She has a sword wrapped in green magic swirls in her left hand, and she is wearing a shield on her right hand, while holding a ball of green magic in her palm. She also has a very nice wide-brim hat with a blue rose and three feathers on top.

The first attempt trully be "the idea of an animal" Not only did i fail miserably, i also spent way too long stumbling around in the dark trying to remember how all these animals are even suppoused to look like

TobyRay @tobyray.bsky.social · 13/06/2025

Friendly reminder as to why using references is important As practice i drew a bunch of animals just from memory, and i thought i did okay-ish Then i re-drew them with references and learned just how wrong i was 😅 #DigitalArt #Sketch #practice #animals

Aibros: anyone can use it! It democratises (insert skill)! It lets everyone do everything easy as pie! Also aibros: doing anything with AI is hard work and takes a lot of skill, not just anyone can do it! You have to learn it! Here's my paid course on how you can learn it today cuz you 100% need it!

All the time, especially with very old drawings. Sometimes I look at my super old sketches I doodled way back in school and are absolutely stumped by how the heck i was able to draw that so effortlessly. Ngl sometimes i get a bit envious of my younger self 😭

Well, hopefully you will figure it out in no time! Meanwhile I'll just lurk in this thread in hopes of finding answers as well x)

Guess the best way to go about it is just tags and hashtag piling with a hefty warning in advance, hoping ppl won't curse you too much about getting unfamiliar\unwanted content in their feed 😅

That is true. My main concern was mainly the whole "drastically different". If ppl just don't want to see NSFW - tagging is fine, but if they specifically don't want to see YOUR NSFW (or SFW) but have NSFW enabled... ooph. The whole "I came to you for this thing, not that other polaropposite thing".

The struggle! x) I was also thinking of maybe making a specific hashtag and warning ppl in advance about muting it if they need to. Idk about preference presets. I did see ppl on birdapp add CWs and TWs to their NSFW posts before, maybe that's a thing here as well. But those were NSFW accounts...

Honestly, as a viewer - wouldn't care one bit, one account is easier to follow anyway At the same time I am having a similar issue, i've been considering posting NSFW, but it's so drastically different from my regular content that i am horrifed of giving ppl whiplash so idk either tbh 🫠

People be weird with lists, especially blocklists. I've been added to some for just existing 🫠 On the bright side - i wouldn't won't to engage with the kind of ppl who make such lists either, so it's a win win.

we really need to start separating AI and GenAI, as those are two very different things simple AIs are everywhere, npcs and entities in games used ai since before GenAI was a thing AI is also extremely usefull in science, and has already helped make many breakthroughs GenAI is the evil one

TobyRay @tobyray.bsky.social · 24/02/2025

This applies not only to art programms. Certain applications, including games, will also do that! So do check your temp files and such if your storage space suddenly fills up for no reason x)

More quick portraits for my story, as I continue to deal with burnout from everythings that is happening in the wrold happy happy shiny ppl! #digitalArt #Art #fantasy

Not easily unlockable phone - yes BUT it's good to have a phone, preferably a burner one, to contact help or document things if need be, and a powerbank Also do notify your close ones of where you're going and keep them updated! (Same thing as when going on a date with unknown person)

0100

The mask isn't for covid protection but for tear gas, so are glasses and water (do have extra for drinking!) I do agree respirator is 100% better, but not everyone might have it

120

Don't forget to bring water, snacks, cash, any personal medications you might need, possibly bandages, desinfectants, first aid Wear a mask or a respirator. Protective glasses and a helmet are good to have NO jewelry, contact lenses or things you don't wanna be arrested with

2625

"They're not better or worse than dems" they said "The next 4 years won't be any different" "You're exxagerating" "they're obviously not nazis" "dems have been doing all the same things" "no one's gonna die" "it's just fear mongering" I hope these people feel really dumb and ashamed right now

0226

//a little vent, sorry// I am still seething over the fact that i was told by multiple people that I am "terminally online" and "living in an echo chamber" when I pointed out all the obvious red flags and accuretly predicted all the things that are currently happening

1110

If history taught us anything it is that first they'll go for trans people(mainly trans women and any fem-amabs), then effeminate and gnc men, then gay and bi men, while framing them as "predators", meanwhile queer women will be willfully ignored cuz men can "fix" them

000

All n all, patriarchy thinks women are weak, so they're not a threat regardless of what they do. Even "unavailability" isn't a thing, because consent doesn't exist and what women want doesn't matter to them Men are suppoused to be "perfect", so when they become "woman like" it's a massive afront

100

All of that is also why lesbians and afabs in general were always the main driving force behind queer movements - they get overlooked and dismissed as not being that much of a "threat", which ends up giving them more freedom to act and do things

100

And again, afabs being queer plays into a lot of sex.fantasies and the general view is that they can be "re-educated" or, at the very least, easily supressed Queer amabs, on the other hand, are a huge blow to their egos, that's why the right always fear mongers about predatory gay men and transwomen

100

That's because men "falling out of line" is usually met with way more backlash than when women do it Historically queer amabs were the ones taking on most of the backlash from bigots, whilst queer afabs were being overlooked cuz "it's just women being silly, nothing a good beating can't fix"

100

He's stupid enough to try and re-name it into XXX 😶

sexism is exactly why they'll leave lesbians for last. Gay men are an "emberassment", "effeminet" and all that jazz, while lesbians are "fine" because it's just girls being girls and it also plays into men's sexual fantasies. Not to mention the whole "gay men are predators" shtick they love
