I was going to set up a quick lowscope contest map, but realized that A. the deadline passed before I started, and B. I have other things to prioritize. But the level's basically done anyway so I'll probably release it soon regardless.

speaking of lava layer, here's one troll in that level that I've never seen anyone encounter! It was meant to be a "gotcha" for folks who wanted more time to align the dash up, but it turned out A. you don't really need more time for that and B. retrying would be simpler anyway.

Hi, I'm tobyaaa! I'm an aspiring game designer who's made a lot of modded content for 2018 indie platformer Celeste. I often try to aim for very unconventional levels, having made an SMW-themed map, countless kinds of puzzle, and I've even coded simple 3D graphics once!

Lava layer: a map made for the Strawberry jam collab. It's a Super Mario World themed castle setting, where the image shows madeline jumping from a block that's just moved out from under her.

This is Misty Grotto, an early map I'm still fond of. The image shows madeline in a room of a ruined structure, reading a note from the ground (it reads, "There's a treasure chest against a wall. At about head height next to it, there's a passage.")

an image doesn't do this map justice anyway. Here, madeline is seen inside of a oddly shaped room with four jutting-out closets leading out from the center, in each direction. There's some water and an open area outside where madeline can go. (this level is very similar to the classic Lost Woods formula, so perhaps imagine that)

Madeline dashes upwards in a very abstract environment, with 3D shapes sometimes forming platforms when they meet the XY plane. This one was quite fun to code in!
