Finally posting the summary for the #NextFest that ended... almost a month ago? Geez, where does time fly. Took my time to play properly through the Casualties: Unknown demo, to try and get a proper #review of it. Usually I make them quick and easy, but wanted to try my hand on a full-length one!

Cat Mail Co. is a cozy post-office sim you can play solo or with friends. You receive and retrieve packages, sort through incoming and outgoing mail, and generally have a chill job with no timelimits whatsoever. Very enjoyable, and I hope to drag some friends into it when it comes out

Dart Racer ignores gravity as you dart around N64-esque tracks. Apparently works in VR too. I enjoyed the time trials, the mechanics work well, but I did find myself slightly annoyed when having to deal with other racers, due to how uncontrollable the interactions felt. Might be a skill-based thing

The Exhibition is very clearly inspired by The Witness, but it is not as puzzle-focused, instead having you solve simple mouse-dodging sequences across this abstract museum. It feels a bit more of an artistic experienced than a game with a focused vision, but that's not necessarily a bad thing

Sojourn Past is a bullet hell metroidvania that actually lives up to its genre. Lots of bullets, but spread out in a fair manner to not make things absurdly difficult. Couple that with lovely pixel art and wordless storytelling, and it's probably the game I'm most interested in from the whole fest

Obsolete - Salvation Protocol is an RTS Roguelite which is well executed to the extent of my limited RTS experience. It is held back by being a series of small encounters where you have to repeat the wind up and ending phases of the game, but the variety of builds looks enticing enough
