Bio: Fresh out of basic training, Alister is nervous about what the mist has in store for him. Despite that though, he's eager to show what he's made of, and is damn sure going to try his best while he's down there. He's attentive and ready to learn, obedient, and fairly talented with his hands thanks to his years of being a standout mechanic in the colony. Unfortunately, there's only so much you can properly mask.

He's a bit cowardly, truth be told. His ears are sensitive, he's not that strong physically... He's not even that good at hiding it, either. What matters with Alister, beyond anything else, is his clear determination to be a diver, despite everything. Does make you wonder why he's so dead set on being one, though.

Outside of being a mist diver, he's kind of a loner. He doesn't have much in the way of friends, and thought he was fine with that. But it turns out, being acknowledged by others actually feels... nice. His solitary nature has resulted in a couple bad habits though, such as a loose tongue, and a penchant for angering easily. Though he does try to reserve those emotions for when he's alone... or at least thinks he is.

He relies quite a bit on an old music player relic to help him deal with life, processing both his emotions and the world around him through the songs stored on the device. He's actually got a pretty nice singing voice too, but is incredibly shy about it. In fact, he's shy about his musical nature in general, holding his relic close to his chest and keeping his tastes private.

It's easy to make surface level observations about someone, but at the end of the day, it's hard to deny that Alister is hard to get a proper read on. Everybody's got their secrets, after all...

Bio: Very few people in Tower Iris know the name Elias Quinn. *All* of them know about the Guardian Angel of the Iris, though.

Stoic and seemingly unshakeable, it's easy to find the man's scarred visage intimidating, especially considering he doesn't like to talk unless it's necessary. But spend any time with him at your side and you'll learn the man is quite the gentle giant. His title didn't come from nowhere, after all... Even if he hates it.

To say he's got 31 years of experience is actually a bit wrong. Most divers operate on a half year cycle. 6 months deployed, 6 off duty doing their normal job. But Elias, from the moment he enlisted at 18, has never come off deployment. So it's better to say he has 62.

One would expect a man of his immense talent to sit at the pinnacle of Mist Diver authority, as a member of Polaris squad. However, he refuses to accept even his fourth star. They've tried, and yet even if the stars are forced into his necklace, he'll always report for duty the next day with only three around his neck.

Eventually, they stopped trying.

Nobody really knows what motivates the man to do what he does, but people have learned to accept his benevolence in whatever strange form it may take. Though there are some that have caught him on lonely nights, staring down at something in the palm of his hand, the only indicator of what it is being the string coiled between his fingers.

Bio: Easily Gemini squad's most outgoing member, it's hard to imagine this big guy with anything but a smile on his face. You'd expect somebody whose job it is to lead squads and face any hazebeasts head on to be more grizzled and jaded, but even after years of service, Chester remains his same bubbly, positive self. He's made quite a reputation for himself, earning himself the unofficial title of Golden Frontliner, and is well liked, even so far as being considered good luck whenever he's on a squad. Though he easily gets along with everybody, his two favorite people in the whole tower are and always will be Mason and Nikka.

Having lost his parents at a young age, Chester lives with his adoptive dats, Keith and Ren, on floor two. Despite his outgoing nature, he's quick to get lonely, and in the past would rely on a stuffed teddy bear to keep him company. Maybe that explains why he's so eager to squeeze Mason and Nikka whenever he gets a chance.

Bio: As both the head and founder of the Intelligence Division's modern form, it should come as no surprise that Nikka is fiercely intelligent and analytical. Like her brother, she's outwardly quiet, but usually that's more to do with the fact that she's consumed with her own work. When she does interact with others though, she's kind and deeply protective, but isn't afraid to speak up when she thinks someone needs to hear it. This can result in her sometimes crossing as cold or brash, but she always has everyone's best interest at heart.

Especially her little brother.

Probably one of the busiest people in Tower Iris, being the chief IO is already complicated enough, but when she's off duty, she's straight to floor one to act as a doctor. With little time for hobbies, she's managed to work what few she has into her work, spending more time than you'd think would be necessary with her IO PDA and keyboard. She gets away with it being the chief IO, but... Surely it can't be all work and no play for her.

As a result of how involved she is, she's rarely home, but if she regrets any of it, she doesn't show it. But, in general, it's hard to tell what's going on in her head at any given time, and few can say they truly know her, even Mason and Chester. Her shared old-world curiosity and deep affection for her family has persisted throughout the years, however. Especially considering there's not a day that goes by that she doesn't think about her missing dad.

Like Mason, she carries a memento of Marshall Grady into the mist with her, that being his combat knife. Though she relies on it less than Mason does his pistol, she treasures the weapon in much the same way.

Bio: Quiet and reserved, Mason usually keeps to himself, though he is known to be impulsive and brash at times when in a stressful situation. A total mama's boy, Nalla Grady is one of the few people he's totally comfortable with. His sister Nikka and their shared childhood best friend Chester are the only other two people who hold that honor.

Deeply curious about the old world, and the depths of the mist. Always carries around a copy of the old world book "After They Fell", and has probably read it hundreds of times in the years since he received it as a gift from his dad, Marshall. It's partially responsible for that overwhelming curiosity that drives him day in and day out. His sister is probably responsible for the rest of that curiosity. She inspired him to become a Mist Diver when she enlisted, herself.

Though he struggles to recognize it, he's become a talented Mist Diver over the years, and it shows in the way he acts while diving, for better and for worse. It's taken him a lot of time and effort to reach this point, but he's well liked both by his allies and his community, even if they don't really understand him at times.

He wields and prefers Marshall's custom "Inox Ghost" Beretta 92FS, even though the standard issue assault rifles are more reliable weapons in his line of work. He inherited it when it was left behind by Marshall, who disappeared in the middle of the night seventeen years ago.

The name of the weapon is fitting, he thinks.
