It hasn’t even been 7 days and it honestly feels like we are living in some sort of alternate universe. The unrest and unease is so unnerving and I am not even in the states 😒 #twiglightzone

A timeline cleanse. My beautiful Leroy stopping to smell the roses. Little moments of joy. #cats #lovecats

Me too Adam. I mean we knew this day was coming but my god it’s so visceral now it has. I am struggling with it, like you and so many others. Bring on the football for some kind of distraction. The joy in small things. Ensconced in the tennis for same reason. Distract. Distract. 😒

The People’s March is moving through the streets of Washington: “We won’t go back!” A broad coalition of activists — among them climate, women’s rights, immigration, anti-war, LGBT, D.C. statehood, racial justice — are mobilizing in unison against Trump, three days before his inauguration. 🧵

Apart from disconnecting all electricity/satellite sources, moving to a cave/desert island somewhere disassociating from society & everyone I know, anyway of avoiding the next 4 years cos I don’t think I have the constitution(pardon the pun)to deal with the madness again. And I am not even American 😒😬

I totally understand. And how they can’t read the room beggars belief at this point.

Good thinking! I know bed did a post last night which was great 🦋

🤫 Maybe if we all speak quietly they won’t find us 😂 (yeah I know it’s inevitable enjoying the tranquility 😉)

020

That’s exactly what I was thinking this morning, either they don’t know it’s here 😂 or what you said and more than happy for them to stay put, could make for a way more enjoyable 2025 season for starters.

120

Oh yes indeedy! I did have a few laughs with so many of a certain supporter base trying to say how crap the ground and facilities are. Most amusing😂 It was brilliant and hard to argue it.

I have done a handful the last few days, just to test the waters tbh(haven’t 100% given up the old habits yet), mainly as some people I really like and the club are still there . But after all the bitching and moaning about Ikon last night probably won’t bother much at all. Moaning for moaning sake🙄

They will get here in time , this platform is definitely much more enjoyable and so much less negativity for the sake of being contrary and little else too!

Haven’t quite got there yet, still dipping my toe hoping all out CFC fam make the leap, but it’s inevitable. Good for you ! 💙

Is there some egalitarian gatekeeper watching over who joins Bluesky as I have yet to see the usual and sadly predictable misogynistic, anti AFLW , negative abusive comment par for the course over yonder. And ain’t it grand 💙😍

We figured something big out with Bluesky!! 🦋 For those of you growing your following, keep reading! We’ve gotten about 11k follow requests that we’ve been vetting non stop for about a week. We’re up to 8k followers which is the 16th highest follow back rate on the platform!!! (pathetic). 🧵

North are so eyes on the prize aren’t they. Love the way Brisbane usually play , slow starters so expect them to come back some in the second half.

Watching the way they play shows where the whole comp can get, inspiring 🌟🌟👏👏

Just a few more 😉I made the trek from Melbourne , will be a while till we get those numbers again as time goes on a bigger venues will be needed of course But for now a heaving Ikon is better than 1/4-1/3 full Marvel, only my opinion of course. The atmosphere is great!

A full Ikon park for women’s football is a thing of beauty. Things you love to see #aflw 🏈

It’s so good isn’t it? And only going to get better.

I just want to see someone new win it ! Not taking anything away from Brisbane they an incredible team
