If you mean the focus on Picard, I tend to agree. Not that it isn’t possible to cover larger topics with that framing, I just don’t know if they did.
And not to be a contrarian, but there were a lot of things they attempted to discuss in TNG that seemed just as dichotomous in its exploration.
