That must have been devastating. My daughter was in speech therapy at two. They simplified her vocabulary so she would speak more. I never used baby talk with my kids; I always used adult vocabulary. This initially hindered their early speech, but it ultimately proved excellent for their vocabulary.

This. I’m a technical writer…I’ve ran some of my writing through AI checkers after my daughter told me that her writing was being flagged as 30% AI (she’s an English major and was so offended). My technical writing is flagged as greater than 50% AI.

Remember, we cannot see viruses bc they are too small. Instead, tests search for the virus’s own genetic RNA blueprint or the antibodies your immune system makes to fight it. Testing fails early on because the virus is still hiding inside cells and hasn't left these detectable tracks yet.

Like any virus, it is not detectable by blood until it has multiplied enough times to be detectable…which is usually the same number of times it needs to be multiplied to be symptomatic, so most are not detectable by blood until symptomatic or right before symptomatic. 18-42 days
