Experimenting with some new color grading directions for Ashfall. I wanted to see how a colder, deeply desaturated blue palette would shift the atmosphere. It really helps the eclipse punch through the volumetric fog and heavy ash. Dialing in that isolating survival horror mood takes a lot of tweaking, but the environment is finally starting to feel right.

Lots of work to do but just actually opening aseprite and getting a feel for the program is a massive win. Nice thing about pumpkins is they're bumpy organic shapes so you can't tell I have zero idea how to draw contour lines or understand lighting 🤣 #pixelart
