1. Despite limited Ab exposure, the Wayampi gut microbiome harbors a robust "background" resistome of ACQUIRED resistance genes (antibiotic, metal, biocide) shared with Westerns=AMR is an ancient and conserved feature rather than solely a by-product of human activities.
