The rift started when the sound guy forgot to mix Audra's mic in "Make Our Garden Grow" finale at Barbara Cook's Kennedy Center tribute.

Her comments in the interview are trash, but can you imagine if her last Broadway show REALLY is The Roommate?

Keep the band together and have Simard play Phyl.

Saw this last night and it's one of those rare plays that sends you back out into the world with changed eyes. What a gift

Kara Young of course perfect, whole cast brilliant, but the way Alana Arenas steals this play? God it's so fucking goooood.

Love wearing this out to the theater and feeling like I'm sneaking Judy Garland in as my date.

As evidenced by the state of my copy, I have already tried this MANY times, but this year is the year, dammit. Tomorrow, I start MiddleMarchMadness and read this everyday of March until both the month and novel are over. Here we go!

And a happy Stritchie Centennial to you and yours.

Theo McKenna @tmckenna1015.bsky.social · 30/01/2025

I understand that the production and leading lady's performance just aren't For Me and I'm happy for you if they are For You, but we all agree those tempos being THAT slow are absolutely ridiculous, right? RIGHT?

I know it's been much remarked upon already, but I will remember Linda Lavin saying, "So you can wish me bon voyage or you can go fuck yourself" as her exit line in The Lyons for the rest of my gay days.

I love her in the movie because she is a true Movie Star and I don't think the movie would exist without her, but I necessarily like what she does *as* Martha.

No wait I lied again, my final official rankings are: 1) me 2) CHERRY JONES 3) Stephen Spinella

What I feel like I "got" tonight was that Gypsy is about people and their dreams and the beauty and horror and thrill and devastation of dreams coming true. A musical fable and a tragedy.

The thing about Jennifer Simard is if she "just" sang like that or "just" had her truly surgical comic timing, she would be top tier. But both??? BOTH???

I have not and probably won't have a chance to see the Tammy Faye Musical, but I just really want Autumn Hulbert to have a successful experience at the Palace. I do not know her, but I WANT that for her.

(Moving to Chicago is something I could realistically imagine doing; I would hate being a flight attendant and I know that but also everything is a disaster! So!)

At the anxiety level where I'm looking at jobs in Chicago and also considering becoming a flight attendant? I don't know what the fuck is going on

Is this the OG full show? I was devastated when I bought it a few years back and realized how much was cut.
