On Jan 13, MPs discussed the merits of a legal #DutyofCare in UK Higher Education in a Westminster Hall debate attended by LEARN and our friends @forthe100.bsky.social. Most MPs were firmly in support - disappointingly the Government is still treading a weary old line on 'unintended consequences'.

Real food for thought here from a @uniofsurrey.bsky.social-led team investigating who is responsible for making our universities #SuicideSafe. Very pleased that The #LEARNNetwork has been part of this preliminary project that's likely to lead to further research. www.surrey.ac.uk/research-pro...

Read our response to the National Review of #HEStudentSuicide deaths published in May. We support both pre/postvention recommendations, but the sector must do more & the gov must hold it to account by statute/regulation. We still await a gov response. www.thelearnnetwork.org.uk/post/nationa...
