I love this trash garbage book. It’s so frustrating that there’s a good story here but the writing is so bad. There are so many moments in the Langdon novels where you can let your eye wander over words without reading them but still full understand what’s happening. Great plot. Dreadful writing.

I wanted to like this book (BROADWAY REVIVAL) more than I did. The premise is promising, but we spent more time saving composers we didn’t care about as characters than we did with characters we actually loved. With 100 fewer pages and a more focused tale, this really could be a hit.

My gawd. This is probably one of the darkest books I have ever read. It was a struggle at times to get through, but it was so compelling and well written that I couldn’t put it down. I was warned, but I did not heed those warnings. I’m going to think about this one for awhile.

Finally saw this movie and I’m not mad at it. But I really wanted to be mad. Every moment was intentional. They nearly lost me at the second big Lilly moment, but they won me back with that final moment.
