a discord comment I made summarizing my thoughts on AI slop

"look I may not be the most popular developer. I may not even be the best writer (though I consider it a strength of mine). I'm CERTAINLY not the best artist, not by a longshot. my games may be so unknown tiktok thinks they're lost media on the rare occasion someone actually mentions them. but I will always, ALWAYS have the satisfaction of writing it all myself, having the courage to publish it despite everything, and not outsourcing a single part of it to the AI industrial complex
is it AAA quality? ...okay bad comparison AAA is pretty shit a lot of the time. but is it PROFESSIONAL quality? Not always. but it's fucking mine, and even with the help I get with the art I'm supporting someone REAL and not the technology that's going to kill the planet and make truth irrelevant"
