Well, the Cubs have a hit. I can go to bed now.

Two home runs by the Padres in the first inning. Boyd getting rocked.

Something I noticed about the White Sox game, they only used 5 pitchers today which I think leaves them in a very good position for tomorrow. The Astros used 8 pitchers, leaving only 4 available at the end of the game. That leaves Houston thin for tomorrow. Advantage White Sox.

Congratulations to the White Sox! They win 6-3 to take the first game of their wild card series. They can close out the Astros tomorrow night. The win also extends the White Sox postseason winning streak over the Astros to 5 games.

I've always said that the key in baseball is to make the playoffs. Once you're in, anything can happen. If a team gets hot, they can run the table. If the Cubs and White Sox get hot, Chicago is going to be lit!

I just watched a vid of the postgame locker room. First, congrats to Dennis Allen and Case Keenum for game balls. Second, Kevin Warren had his stupid mug in there again.

That was a complete win by the Bears tonight! The team has to feel good about this one.

0182

Just keep feeding Swift now!

Did Saquon Barkley get hurt? He was running wild early and just disappeared.

220

If you want to really impress me tonight, tell me you picked up Case Keenum in your fantasy league to start!

What a capper for Keenum! Beautiful, time killing TD drive!

160

The old man got the offside call!

130

There is no 57 yard try with Santos as the kicker.

131

Was Edwards really that close to the Eagles huddle as the camera made it appear? Crazy if he was.

110

Great defensive coverage by the Bears! Brought the rush and let lose into coverage.

I would love to see Swift and Monangai get going now.

161

Bears D stepping up! Nice to see them get into the game.

Raymond was all alone! Busted coverage and a Bears TD!

I have no idea how Keenum completed that pass to Raymond.

There were 00:00 on the clock at the snap! How the hell was that a TD!?

The Bears are playing a heck of a game so far and I see, off to the right, the name Rahm Emanuel trending. No one is interested in seeing Rahm run except himself and his money boys. He wouldn't even win Illinois if he tried.

1143

Keenum is making some throws that I don't think Bagent has the arm for.

080

Keenum is just ripping the ball right now! Incredible what he's completing;.

060

Thienamin picks off the Red Rifle! Eagles come away with nada!

240

Hurts was going out of bounds. Stupid play by Jackson. No need to take his head off.

001

Bears defense has to do something about Barkley. He's running all over them.

Eagles haven't done anything right tonight until they shut down that fourth down play. Don't let them get into the habit of doing something right.

001

I know it's Ben Johnson but I would rather the Bears put the Eagles down by two scores with the FG.

110

Odunze bobbled the initial try. Better hands and he gets the TD.

Nope! Loveland doesn't get in.

Booker slammed that ball out of Bigby's arm. Bears looking great so far tonight.

For crying out loud! Roush has been an idiot through three games so far.

Keenum a bit strong on two long passes so far tonight. Nerves? Adrenaline? He finds the range downfield and the Eagles will really be in trouble.

I think the entire Bears offense pushed Burden into the end zone. They would not be denied! Bears jump out in front.

090

Put a lot of faith in Roush on that 4th down play.

Feels a bit strange considering he's only played one NFL season, after his lost rookie year, but J.J. McCarthy really needed a change of scenery. Not that he's going to be any good with the Giants, but he can't make them any worse.

Remember that hit piece in Go Long on Ryan Poles and Caleb Williams? The one where a former, emphasis on former, scout said that Poles criticized Jayden Daniels' size and refused to consider drafting Drake Maye. That piece hasn't aged too well, has it?

If the U.S. moon project is counting on Starship then we're screwed. They barely made orbit with this one. They also can't launch at capacity because of weight to fuel ratio issues. Finally, wake me when they can finally land the thing successfully.

I can't believe the Ravens managed to win that game with just 7 seconds on the clock. Ravens and Cowboys played a barnburner in Rio.

121

Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers are very bad this season. The Vikings and Kyler Murray didn't impress but they are going to win in Tampa today.

The Jets have given the NFC North trouble in two games against the division so far. They visit Chicago in Week 4.

000

Phillies avoided the complete collapse today with a 7-3 win over the Rays. They'll get to travel to Atlanta for the wild card round.

000

I believe the Jaguars are about ready to give up on Travis Hunter as WR for good reason. Hunter had a great game as a CB against the Patriots today.

Not a terrible Week 3 picks run so far through the early games. Through nine games I'm 5-4 straight up and 4-5 ATS. Only three overs so far today, one in Washington in crap weather conditions.

Deshaun Watson gets the 4th quarter comeback in the Browns 21-18 win over Carolina. Also, Deshaun Watson can bite me!

Crazy game finishes in the NFL early slate.
