Their arms brushed, and she gazed into Alice’s eyes. At similar heights and neither in a lifted shoe, Fiona matched Alice’s intense eye contact directly at her level. “After the party, once the majority of my work here concludes, we could…perhaps I might be ready. Alice swiped her tongue across her lower lip, inviting Fiona’s gaze to her mouth. “I don’t know. But I do know one day you’re gonna kiss me again, and when you do, you’re going to feel what I feel every time I look at you. Maybe then.”

Fiona’s eyes snapped up. Alice’s voice had roughened and lowered, so seductive and dominating Fiona nearly wilted on the spot. A moment or two of stillness passed, but it felt like ages. “You’re making it incredibly difficult not to kiss you right now.”

“Good.”

Man, I want to primarily use StoryGraph so I can push off Goodreads, but there is just zero functionality for authors. Their roadmap has Author Page plans from 2021... Really feels like it's missing a core function as a book tracking site. Hardcover, too. 😩
