Master’s nearly done. Sitting on a 4.0. Grad school is like a fever dream. Admin interviews up next. Possible international travel this summer, because I cope geographically. If I start talking about “systems-level thinking” in an airport lounge, just let it happen. Non sequitur cat pix!

For years I thought I'd never leave the classroom, but as an administrator I'd have the ability to help usher in a culture change of a school and community. Only thing the current environment has done is raised my monthly student loan payments...

A Bears'playoff win, a morning of cat cuddles and a big workout; this is the perfect final weekend before my last semester of grad school. Growth is not always linear, this has been a challenging 16 months, but the healing continues and life improves.

I feel you, I'm so burnt out with grad school, my internship, being department chair and teaching 4 different courses with only one plan period. I'm finding myself very cranky. But it's par for Novembers... So I'm going to share a picture of Big Tuna and Mr. Nimbus to bring cheer.

A year ago, I had an artificial disc replacement in my neck. 7 months ago, a two level cervical fusion. Over the last five months, I've had to make several major life changes... Life is hard, be harder!
