The SkyCamOne HAT for Raspberry Pi 5 is so popular that we ran out of stock before we were even able to organize a new production run! Thank you for that, it is all thanks to every single one of you that now have one of these amazing HATs. HOWTO: Build an allsky camera
We provide several components for all sky cameras in our shop, but how do you actually build an all sky camera? What components do you need? What do you need to think about? What do you need to be aware of? We tried to summarise all the answers on these questions in our new Open Source resource on GitHub, for everyone to access and for everyone to contribute and improve upon. You can find the documentation here:

Breather vents and Noctua fans in stock
For those of you looking to give your all sky setup a little breather (pun intended!), we have breather vents and Noctua fans in stock. The breather vents come in two sizes: M16 and M20 for a 4000ml/min and 4600ml/min venting capacity respectively. The Noctua NF-A4x20 5V PWM fan is the best you can get, in our honest opinion. Silent, strong, and compact. Perfect for your all sky system. You'll find them in the store.

So, last week we discovered a design flaw in our SkyCamOne HATs for Raspberry Pi 4B. The flaw is in the buck converter circuit where we convert the incoming power from PoE or 12 volts in into 5 volts. These 5 volts are used to power your Raspberry and the dew heater for instance, but also go towards the stepper motors and servos.

WARNING: Do NOT use your dew heater!
I am writing this to inform you that we have a fabrication issue with all of our dew heaters. DO NOT USE your dew heater! Do not connect it to your HAT and fire it up! It appears that the resistors used on these dew heaters are no where near the value that they should have and it is like attaching a cable loop to your HAT (a short-circuit, really).

Presenting our new environmental sensor
This Titan Astro sensor board is based on the famous Sensirion SHT31-D sensor, providing humidity, temperature and pressure readings via I2C (QWIIC) to the SkyCamOne HAT. We've designed this extra small breakout board so it can be easily fixed with a screw or clip. We've placed the sensor in a thin section of the board on purpose, so you can stick it through an as small as possible hole into your camera dome.
