I'm so worried about season 3! When are they going to put that up on AppleTV for purchase? 😬

The show isn't made by a conservative mormon. The show runner is an EX-mormon gay man, Rafe Judkins. And the show gets very gay. 🥰 On the other hand, the last 3 books of the 14-book series was finished by a conservative Mormon named Brandon Sanderson, who publicly criticized the show. #WoTSkies

Also some mentions of how much cats like Aes Sedai (not just Marillin) and dogs don't.

💯 Love Luke Daniels's narration of these books so freaking much!

Yoon Ha Lee's Ninefox Gambit has some mathematical witchiness and plenty of queering. No deserts though. Also Gideon the Ninth's has tons of gay space witchery by eBay of necromancy. But no robots, alas, just animated skeletons. Ancillary Justice?

Guess that's why we have a million books out there for tastes of all kind. 😁 BlandoSando ain't for everyone. Grateful BS finished up WoT for us but I'll take RJ's writing over BS the Machine anyday. BS's characters are cardboard cutouts moving the plot along. Sniff. (& ducks for cover.) #WoTSkies

you have enough others to root for, which bridges the reader gender gap. Newer books don't seem to have the as much of a problem with primary female MCs in epic fantasy (Trator Baru Cormorant, Mistborn, Priory of the Orange Tree, etc.). But maybe it's not that... Pern did fine in the 90s. 3/3

The gender gap for readers probably tainted it more and slower down traction since it came out in the 90s. In the Wheel of Time, Rand is nominally the MC, but there are so many other characters who are just as important that if you don't care for him, 2/3

Daughter of the Empire is one of my very favorites. Maybe it's not as widely known because the MC is female and the other characters aren't really focused on enough the way side characters are in WoT/GoT etc so that everybody has a little bit of somebody else they can identify with? 1/2

All super intentional. There's an in-world explanation for the overlapping mythology. 😀

Certainly a lot fewer "begats" in The Wheel of Time.

They were planning for 6-8 seasons, which seems more doable than 14

Warrior nuns was cancelled in December 2022, the fans' campaign was launched from there, then the film trilogy was announced in June 2023. Do not despair, keep up the momentum. #savewot #thewheeloftime #WOT

My favorite musical moment from Season 3 was the entire surprise EDM flavor to the soundtrack. All the d&b, dubstep, acid interpretation was incredibly done and so unique for a high fantasy show. My favorite non musical moment- impossible to pick only one. 😍 #SaveWoT SaveWoT.com #WoTSkies

Ugh sorry to hear that. After watching all the seasons on Prime, I bought Seasons 1 and 2 on apple TV and rewatched it that way - so much better than Prime. (Both apps via Roku on my tv) I hope Apple TV picks up Season 3 soon.

Sometimes it's a TV setting issue? www.reddit.com/r/WoT/commen... This can also sometimes be an app issue. If you watch it on a different app, it may be perfectly bright. (Apple versus prime, for example, or laptop browser versus TV) #SaveWoT Savewot.com #WoTSkies
