I don't think I have said this here but if I am repeating sorry. I don't usually follow people until they follow me first, I have always felt like a burden for others, I don't like forcing my presence on people and following feels like that, I know it doesn't make sense, feelings are rarely logical.

So what if @bsky.app when they add media messages in the dms make each individual chat have a switch by the persons name that turns on their ability to send media messages, and the default is off, that way people can still get/send pics but consent and peoples choice are respected.
