Today we would like to recognize Ken Sample aka Ken Cougar. A Black man who is credited with creating and coining the term "Fursona". While drawing one of his "Exotics" Ken drew a Cougar character that looked strikingly like himself. Attendees of this conference also wanted their own characters!

I DID figure out that I can fix the bunching/slack problems I’m having in that area by creating darts and removing some of the fabric but that only hit me once I was done and properly frustrated for the night

More seam allowance and length for the ears…which in hindsight makes sense since they need to be totally flipped right side out after sewing 😓

Also catching spots where my patterns are wildly asymmetrical (like where the cheek meets the larger forehead/side of eye piece), so making some adjustments but overall, most of the pieces stayed intact!

I think I’ll use closer to an eighth of an inch. The sewing is getting better but I don’t feel confident enough for zero. But this was also a good reminder that I can do none in places where I’m definitely going to be gluing, like around the eyes!

Very glad I decided to do this. Learning that first, my seam allowance is too big. I’ve seen folks say they use anywhere between none for the head and up to a quarter inch. I’ll make the final call when I’m done with this practice run but I’m using a quarter now and it’s just slightly too baggy rn

Keeping things loosely sewed except for a few parts to get some good practice in. My blanket stitch is…not looking good but the back stitch, which is also kinda sloppy does look WAY better for me so I guess I’ll have to suffer just a tiny bit more (it’s really not that bad)

An extra challenge for this head for me has been the size of it. I want it to have enough room for my glasses and mask (I really like the Flomask) and was worried about it feeling loose but this specific mask actually does a great job of anchoring this thing to my face!

I think not having strong fundamentals AND working in digital were what was making it hard but happy with the solution just after one night. It’s the second refurbished product I got from Huion and have been super happy with the quality of both…although the shape of the box did concern me a bit 😅

Been using a pen tablet for about a year, still found it difficult to use after a decent amount of drawing and a lot of OSU. Thought I might fall into the camp of folks who just can’t use them. Decided to try a display and things are clicking so much better

I highly recommend this one! My only real experience with them is the Darkzone in The Division 2, wasn’t a huge fan and Tarkov always seemed too intense for me. I’m more of a battle royale/looter guy (lots of Destiny, I love Apex). Arc definitely feels more chill like those games despite the genre
