Dakota Sexton @tinykitelab.com · 03/01/2025The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl is a super silly, wonderful comic that also features an incredibly realistic depiction of someone doing research: by just looking at Wikipedia on their phone. 000
Dakota Sexton @tinykitelab.com · 03/12/2024Back in 2017 I had the opportunity to mess around on a Vandercook press and create a Letterpress print on cheap cardstock. I hilariously misspelled the word "coffee". So I didn't share it and at some point recycled the prints. I wish I hadn't. I really need a daily reminder to avoid perfectionism. 120
Dakota Sexton @tinykitelab.com · 02/12/2024For a while I've wanted to experiment with making art that's just a little bit more loose and imperfect than the hyper-rigid geometric illustrations I've done in the past. Dakota Sexton @tinykitelab.com · 22/11/2024When it comes to talking about disability, I often worry I don't have anything helpful to share. Dakota Sexton @tinykitelab.com · 19/11/2024One of my favorite books is Tree Dogs, Banshee Fingers and Other Irish Words for Nature by Manchán Magan. It's a delightful and poetic account of how Irish captures community knowledge. Comfrey, a plant still very common in herbal medicine — is "lus na gcnámh briste", the plant of broken bones. 020
Dakota Sexton @tinykitelab.com · 28/01/2024For a long time I've struggled to learn how to get outdoors in a way that doesn't challenge my hypermobility and my chronic pain. In pursuit of that, I discovered the book Birding for a Better World and decided to try to collect my thoughts about it in a blog post. minimalbotany.xyz/reading-bird... 080
