2024 was rough. I’ve had my fair share of problems but through sport I was able to overcome most of them. I ended the year with backcountry skiing, as the conditions were ideal. 2025 here we come!

Is it just me or windows and volumes are now persistently anchored across device reboots with visionOS 2.2 beta?

Crazy how this place went from being a wasteland even just a few weeks ago to something more vibrant every day since the US elections

I wonder when someone will build a Vision Pro mod that gets rid of EyeSight, uses a lighter 3D-printed casing and removes the front glass

I’ve used the AnnaPro head strap V2 for 5 days (~30 hours). V1 didn’t fit my head -at all-, but V2 comes with 4 cushion sizes, and the 18mm is perfect for me. At first, I wasn’t sure it helped with comfort, but after removing it, the difference was very clear.

Getting closer to a beta of Page Blanche on TestFlight! I'm quite satisfied with the progress we've made in just 5 weeks. There's a ton of bugs atm so we'll pause development of new features until we get things right for the first beta. These 3D scans really shine on Vision Pro.

If we get an Apple Vision in 2025 that's 400 grams and priced at $2000 that's good news, though $1500 would be much, much better IMO. My concern is about Vision Pro 2: if it comes in 2027 with the same weight as today, it's DOA. It's way too heavy.

Every time I open the app I am reminded that because of the lack of virtual-camera-to-texture API in RealityKit for visionOS, we can’t have a nice gallery of projects and it saddens me. At least ARView had a snapshot() method …

Thank you Snap for letting me try the new Spectacles! I am pleasantly surprised. They are *much* more comfortable than I expected, though they did mess with my hair - not cool

Hey everyone, sorry to say but at the moment I don’t really appreciate this platform. Follow me on Threads!

Today marks the 8th year since I've first experienced mixed reality. At the time I was already well into VR, but half an hour with HoloLens 1 convinced me Mixed Reality, not VR, is the future of computing.

I would love to be on this platform a bit more, but without the ability to upload videos it’s pretty much pointless. Most of my content is videos

I am so tired of these weird and baseless claims. The world has enough problems to solve to account for 10x more developers than exist right now, even if they were to be 10x more productive with AI. The world (and climate change) needs more engineers and developers

Since visionOS windows don't have to adhere to a fixed size, I wondered if one could be creative about how to display the content. For example: A Cover Flow layout for Word of the Day and a unique shape for collections. Some mockups for LookUp on visionOS:

Really unfortunate that we can't post animated content (gifs and videos)

Most of my posts are video recordings of my learnings with visionOS, but it seems I can't post videos in here. Does Bluesky at least support video embeds from other platforms?

Here’s a picture of Paris I took on Thursday evening. I thought it’d look nice on your timeline.

I’ve noticed compliments on Twitter about Bluesky's app, and while I appreciate the x-platform approach, the absence of iOS UI controls is disconcerting. The app feels somewhat out of place and not as smooth to use as I had hoped. Looking forward to seeing how the platform evolves ✨
