In a liberal society built on individual responsibility we should (probably) avoid assigning collective blame on communities based upon the crimes of individuals. Torah keeps reminding us that survival is not enough and continuity matters too and this week’s Vayechi Parshah illustrates the point.

I’ve been thinking about the difference between Joseph and Jacob. Joseph knows how to survive in Egypt while Jacob knows how to keep peoplehood alive in exile. www.chabad.org/parshah/arti...

Parashat Miketz teaches that even after terrible injustice, anger should not be scattered indiscriminately. Joseph cooperated with authority, refused collective blame, and focused on truth and responsibility. That wisdom feels especially relevant right now.

Jacob built a family and prosperity, Israel built an economy — yet just as Jacob’s young son Joseph was thrown into the pit because he was the favourite, the pattern repeats.

I absolutely love the Round Cross decal! It’s a simple yet powerful expression of faith. The design is clean and elegant — not too flashy, but still very eye-catching. I placed it on the rear window of my car and it’s held up perfectly through rain and sun.

The ABC did a great job with their “Vote Compass” app. It helps contextualize the #Greens alignment with #Hamas, focusing on policies like #taxes, #childcare, and #energy that need personal engagement to understand. ✨👏🇦🇺🙏 votecompass.abc.net.au

Excuse me, I’m not a creep. In today’s mainstream media landscape, which is rigged in favour of meaningless sex and violence, we are tasked to reach out and obtain the truth for ourselves. And this is Bluesky.

I watched this 90 minute video so you don’t have to. An Israeli and a “Palestinian” argue with each other on a “Zoom” call. Respectful, no swearing or shouting. In my opinion, the Israeli wins the argument as he complains much less and seems much happier. youtu.be/s179kams9PQ?...

I apologize for my disrespectful behavior. In today's social media age, I've realized that I can gather information directly from primary sources instead of solely relying on professional investigators. Once again, I sincerely apologize for any offense caused.

Church of All Saints, outskirts of Lviv. #photography #landscape #aerial
An old ruined church at sunset, with the sun illuminating only the top half, casting a warm red hue that accentuates the weathered textures. Autumn trees with golden and orange leaves surround the structure, while a lake is barely visible on the left, partially hidden by the foliage.

According to Yulia Malinovsky, a Knesset member, various Israeli ministers have played a role in UNRWA’s continued operation, despite being officially banned. This includes those responsible for providing electricity and water to UNRWA facilities in East Jerusalem. 3/

Her response essentially stated that "UNRWA exists for a humanitarian cause." Hearing that was quite frustrating for me. This is one reason I appreciate Trump; although some may consider his comments nonsensical, he speaks directly, sincerely, and honestly, without excessive intellectualism. 2/

Last year, I started a petition in Australia to defund UNRWA, which garnered about 20 signatures. Since it was hosted by the Australian Parliament, it was forwarded to the Foreign Minister, who addressed it during an official parliamentary session. 1/

He was being honest. He didn’t know. He’s only human. His voters are his top priority. Our opinions about him make no difference as we are not American citizens.

I stand with democracy and Donald Trump, who was fairly elected by the American people, who clearly care deeply about world peace and personal resilience in the face of threats, blackmail and propaganda.

Tim Robinson @timrobinson81.bsky.social · 06/03/2025
I stand with Donald Trump. His directness and style is what the barbarians in Gaza need. Jihadists have destroyed the lives of so many young people in the Middle East over many decades by persuading them about fanciful sex in heaven & financial rewards for their families for their earthly sacrifice.

We shouldn’t be self-destructive in our caring. To care can require bravery and strength to confront the real troubles—those weak bullies who thrive on lies and terror. In some places, caring might even mean carrying a rifle in public.

Tim Robinson @timrobinson81.bsky.social · 05/03/2025
Trump has a chance to significantly impact the situation, while Dutton and Albo are less influential. There’s opportunity to dismantle terrorist groups in Gaza and the West Bank, build relations with the Druze in South-West Syria, and conduct more strikes on Iran’s nuclear assets.

“Ethnic cleansing”, “war crimes”, “human rights abuses” and “displacement”. So much to unpack! All of it is comparable to “Latmiyat”, that is a genre of Muslim music designed to express religious mourning and sadness. It’s used for very dangerous and dark propaganda by radical and violent Islamists.

Tim Robinson @timrobinson81.bsky.social · 05/03/2025
Trump has discarded the two state solution along with everyone else in Israel, including the opposition party and any independents. His comments on the Riveria are a confirmation on the end of American support for a Palestinian state, which is no longer a serious proposal and will never eventuate.

Peter Dutyon made the effort to visit Israel, our friend & ally in the region, following the October 7 attacks. Trump has stood up to the bullies in Gaza who continue to this day to torture and starve the Israeli hostages & their own people who refuse to fight against Israel. He is honest & direct.

Tim Robinson @timrobinson81.bsky.social · 05/03/2025
I agree. The State of Israel is comparable to Austria, in that it was founded by people who had no way back from where they came from. Also, Israel supports a variety of ethnicities, cultures and religions, as the region has for thousands of years. But, Islamists don’t want this.

Tim Robinson @timrobinson81.bsky.social · 26/02/2025
This text omits any reference to October 7 or the ongoing torture of Israeli hostages. Your definition of "Palestinian" lacks support and has varied over the decades, with most Palestinians now identified as Arabs unlike before 1948 when Jews in the Mandate only identified themselves as Palestinian.

They are proxy forces of the Islamic State of Iran. Netanyahu will never answer to the court because it has no authority or jurisdiction over Israel. Meanwhile the court is being sanction by the USA and they will be punished for their punitive action.

Hardly. Was the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki appeasement? Is the total destruction of every dwelling one kilometre inside the Gaza border and along the Netzarim corridor appeasement for terrorists? There will be peace through victory.

Why? I’m only telling the truth. The international criminal court and court of justice is not the highest court in the world. That is a total myth. The people are the ultimate judge and how is such a court established? By whom? Father Christmas?

Since I realised that it’s not international law but international legal aid. The only international law that is higher than any nation’s legal system is in international waters or if the nation’s legal system is bankrupt.
