What happens to evidence when it crosses a border? Same product. Same ingredients. Same research. But suddenly the rules change. I decided to follow the evidence and find out why. Evidence in Transit: www.evidenceintransit.com/p/the-same-e...

A beautiful essay by @jennitaur.bsky.social on learning to see, and listen differently. It left me wondering: how much of what remains hidden is determined not by what is there, but by how we have learned to look?

The mouth sits within the body. The body sits within a person's life. That life sits within an environment. If we change the boundary around the system we're observing, does what appears to be causing the outcome change too?

Fascinating to read this again with the author's postscript. The evidence has changed, but so has what now appears to be a reasonable response. It raises a difficult question: when do changing conditions make yesterday's unreasonable response become today's necessary one?

What changes when we stop looking only at outcomes and begin asking about the conditions that produced them? I explore questions like this across healthcare, education and environmental systems — sharing research, observations and questions as I go.

Research starts with a question that refuses to leave. Mine is: ‘how do systems quietly shape the futures we imagine are possible’? Looking forward to learning from this community.

@channel4news.bsky.social great final interview this evening. Did you see the irony of cutting them short when they were arguing that serious interviews in mass media were not given enough time…
