The cape used in the rest of the film was a 3/4-cut full-lenth "opera cape". The cape was of black "fulled wool" with a taupe-colored crepe silk lining. The publicity still shows it was 28 feet wide! This cape is now on display at the AMPAS Museum. 2/?

Bela Lugosi wore two capes in 1931's Dracula. In the Castle Dracula scenes, he wore a bisht (knee-length cape with hand-slits). It was black inside and out, and made of an unknown material (likely wool). The overexposed image shows he's not just draping the cape over his arms. 1/?
