Visited the Bird King on the summer solstice a few years ago. 🪶 Happy solstice, friends.

A gift I made for my in-laws a few years ago. I can't think of a more appropriate sentiment for this year, so far. Pattern by Junebug & Darlin, frame from Modern Hoopla.

One of the WIPs on my desk is… an experiment. Your snail & frog pattern felt right for trying this out. 🐌 I really hope this water soluble canvas dissolves properly.

Current WIP is a stitchalong with family. 🐦‍⬛🌙 I ice dyed some opalescent Aida and picked up COSMO floss packs for the occasion. We're only working on it when we meet up and started recently, so… here's a tiiiny bit of progress + the floss.

Found some miniature embroidery hoops, so. Tiny cross-stitch hearts.

Two small cross-stitch hearts on separate pieces of ice dyed dark blue Aida. One heart is pansexual pride colors (pink, yellow, blue) and the other is asexual pride colors (black, grey, white, purple). A miniature embroidery hoop is next to the cross-stitch.

Experimenting with ice dyeing. Just a single dye on some Aida cloth, this time, so I can get a feel for how this color splits. I'm excited to see how this looks once I've rinsed out the excess dye and washed it.

Carrying on a family tradition of sorts.

An OptiVisor is being held up by its headband with one hand. The OptiVisor is a medium- to dark-grey headband with a binocular magnifier attached to it. The rectangular optical glass plate is mounted to the front of the visor with one screw at each side and has a small 3 etched in the upper right corner.

There were some unexpected ink samples in a small order my partner and I received. They ran out of the full-size bottle, but they surprised us with these. 💜

I put together a little makeshift nib holder, today.

A small metal tin with accordion-folded kraft cardstock inside holds two dip pen nibs. One is a bent (fude) nib with a yellow plastic base, the other is a fine nib with a pale blue plastic base.

Ginkgo leaves and quartz ready for the plating bath! Well, almost ready—the quartz needs to be painted with a resist.

I'm halfway through preparing a few ginkgo leaves and a couple of quartz crystals for electroforming. Working on some knitting while I wait for the lacquer to fully cure.
