a little space exclusive: Here's a picture taken a few days ago by Northrop Grumman's Mission Extension Vehicle, after separating from the Optus-D3 satellite it's been supporting for more than a year. You can read all about it here: techcrunch.com/2026/08/12/n...

a very good essay on twitter about why Situational Awareness blew up, and why the SAASpoclaypse has not come to fruition. This to me is the most important bit, which you can see in all kinds of AI (and other VC-backed sector) screw ups x.com/porterstansb...

it's great that they're deploying real satellites, but if the booster isn't reusable, it's not clear that the economics work. SpaceX's S-1 discusses not achieving "full reusability," which I read as referring to still having a reusable booster

OpenAI's Dean W. Ball on twitter today, discussing K3. It's interesting how tech industry policy thinkers settle on "stop competition" as a priority. The frontier labs would love it if the Trump admin tried to ban Chinese models, and this tweet will appear in the lawsuits challenging such laws.
