Would know what to do with what? [ Where did he come from? ]

Freed from his bite, Shez has some breathing room. A gentle shake of his head following the mercenary's words. ❝ It's not uncommon for mercenaries but I suppose one involved with the head of the church would turn a few heads but you're just as important, do you not think so? ❞

❝ yew fink sho? ❞ his voice is muffled on account of his mouth still being firmly gripped onto shez's face. it's not like they make a move to hide their relationship all that much.

[ for felix's birthday, no one need know that there was a new blade commissioned for him by the church of seiros. whether he accepts it or not is completely up to him but a happy birthday note from byleth would also be attached. ]

❝ besides, you look like you're feeling something down here. ❞ finally, his free hand moves and finds it's place between shez's legs. all the while leaning closer to their face, green eyes with slitted pupils seeming staring directly into his soul. ❝ just tell me to stop and i will. ❞

❝ wouldn't be the first time, would it? ❞ one arm rests above them, supporting himself by leaning on the tree, the other by his side for now. there's something about how he reacts to being trapped. how... excited they seem when it's him but their actions are noticed just as well.

❝ you sometimes miss me so much that you touch yourself to the thought of me? i'm so flattered. ❞ as they finally come out of view, he's already making a move. pulling shez in and pinning him against a tree. ❝ ... because i've done the same and it's nothing compared to the real deal. ❞

❝ you know when im teasing and in this? i'm deathly serious. ❞ his voice has dropped a bit lower, moving closer to shez's ear. his tone conveys just how serious he was. did they really do such a thing to the thought of him? it's curiosity, after all. why wouldn't he wanna know?

[ he can't help but wonder how drastically different their perceptions of forever are in this very moment. yet he'll squash those thoughts before they get any worse. ] i know that. i wouldn't ask for more than i could take. [ he hasn't taken off the whistle, it's still hanging around his neck. ]

what can he say? he likes seeing shez get all worked up about how non-chalant he is. aside from that, he's already made them take a detour. off the regular patrolling path and out of sight after only a few minutes of walking. ❝ just thinking or is there something more? ❞

100 1

❝ you think about me? ❞ such a simple sentence and it's enough to make his face break out into a smile. his cheeks hurt from it but goddess be damned, shez is worth that little bit of pain. it was true though, they're a competitive duo. even if byleth would never admit to it.

and his tone holds that teasing nature to it. a part of him just knows that even if they did that. things might escalate very fast. mostly due to his nature as... a tad possessive. ❝ it's just been a while since we last had a break from everyone. ❞

❝ how am i supposed to resist when you say things like that? ❞ byleth can't help but ask playfully. just with how shez keeps reacting, it's rather obvious that they're not exactly good at holding back either. ❝ we can just kiss for a while, if you'd prefer. ❞

no, he's not a mind-reader by any means but he'd be lying if he didn't say the idea had crossed his own mind. ❝ a few hours then? i promise, no marks above the neckline this time. ❞

❝ you were thinking about something sinful, weren't you? ❞ he's not exactly pious himself but the idea that he could tease shez further with this was just too good. the shove earns a small 'oof!' from him, though it didn't really hurt. ❝ though, i think your thoughts are a lot more fun. ❞

fingers come to gently turn his face back up towards him. his own cheeks are dusted a light red, as opposed to earlier and his gaze is just filled with that same loving stare. ❝ no need to be shy. i want to hear it, no holding back. ❞

❝ really? and why do you think that? ❞ he's so cute when he's bashful. in truth, he only really wanted to kiss him for a while. just indulge a bit but it seems shez believed he had other intentions. ❝ i may be willing to compromise on whatever it is you think i wanted to do. ❞

mentions of people looking to them for guidance doesn't make it any less funnier with how shez describes it. two of the most important people in all of fódlan, alone? hardly ever. ❝ well, it's as you said. someone always seems to need one of us. even when we're alone, someone shows up. ❞
