Okay, we drove down miles of dirt road in northern Maine and I hiked a bit off the road. This is the highest peak in the state and it looks amazing. We didn't see a moose on the roads or in the marsh, but the views like this, and the solitude, were a breath of fresh air!

One week update for Ellie ... She has learned to sit, to "lay", and goes to the door of the Mothership when she has to go to the bathroom (95% potty trained, there are moments when we slack and forget, 😂). She is food motivated so Milk Bone Minnie biscuits are her reward for good behavior.

We did something special. We applied to adopt a pet from the SPCA in Hancock and was approved a couple weeks ago. This baby, five months old, was received at the local shelter. Our hearts swelled as we were introduced today and she's now a part of our tribe. Welcome Ellie to the Mothership.

Happy Tuesday! Here's a lighthouse and the tumultuous Atlantic Ocean. The rock where the lighthouse is on is home to many sea bird varieties and seals giving birth to their babies. Fun fact: the after birth of the seals is a delicious meal to the local Bald Eagles in the area.

A foggy gray view over Bar Harbor. We take the first couple weeks to adapt. After settling I then begin to explore the area. Sounds weird, but in order to be successful in this life you have to be patient, and the weather being chilly, rainy and cold helps me not get too overzealous with exploring.

While visiting the east coast you must eat clam chowder. We stopped, after a quick grocery run, and had a bowl of Clam & Corn Chowder at Brick House Soups, a local place that just opened last September in Ellsworth. It was tasty!

We've traveled over 2,300 miles since early spring. Spending about $0.57 per mile and many cold weather days burning our propane for heat, but Maria and I made it safely to our Bar Harbor destination. Now it's time to settle, ease into my new job and adapt to Maine life.👽
