For my hardware people, if you plan to sell a video card that I can use for basic YouTube video editing on my PC, let me know please. Thinking of buying something in next couple months.

Good point. I always forget LinkedIn is a thing.

I need some help. I want to connect with any small to mid size business owner that has worked with a business coach to grow their business, and any business coaches that do that kind of work. I'm not buying or selling, just trying to learn something. Please share.

I'm looking for a good free or inexpensive training to help me make YouTube video. I'm planning to start with 5-10 minute video marketing and how to stuff for the relaunch of my consulting business. Will be recording with my phone and or webcam, screen capture with Snagit, editing with camtasia.

My son is performing with the UTA wind symphony tonight. He's the principal horn. I'm kinda proud of him. :)

I'm working on some images for my next business website and LinkedIn. How do you feel about this pose (and setting)? I think it's in the right ballpark.

So I guess I'm back. Returned yesterday from a ten day Caribbean cruise. I love being at sea (could care less about the ports of call). I spent a lot of time looking at the water, thinking about where I am in my life, what kinds of things I want to focus on.

Getting stronger every day.

There's that old saw "what would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?". Well? I think I'd write a lot of books. I think there's an appetite for a books that mix philosophy with how to. Self help through SQL. data matters.

If you're curious about Tableau and want to chat, I'll set up a zoom and show you the ropes, talk about the good the bad, and the ugl. I'll even tell you how I think it's different from Power Bi. No charge for SQL family (or anyone else).

I'll lay off asking for work for a while, just wanted to put it out there. Times are tough. I'm not the only one looking and I know there are folks that need that next gig more than me. Please don't skip these posts. If we don't help each other, who will?

I'm training on my exercise bike to (hopefully) be stronger on the road this spring. I want to ride at least 50 miles in a festival ride in April. I did last year, I want to either go faster or farther this year.

Anyone know how I can get my name added to the SQL family list on BlueSky?

Watching the Martian on Max. I think this was the last really great movie I saw in the theater. Also, I still hate that it's not called HBO anymore.

I still haven't seen the first one

Excellent. Downloading now. Thank you for the tip.

It turns out I love The music of Charles Mingus, and a lot of other similar artists that I haven't memorized yet. I'm going to start buying a CD a week to build a collection. I had no idea I liked jazz this much, but I friggin love it.

The rule is you never go full Susan Collins, but I'm going full Susan Collins #NoRagrets

Tonight I bought a 4tb SSD external HDD for $30. I am a happy man.

I love Facebook marketplace. If there were a BlueSky marketplace I'd probably never go back.

Just bought a ten year old ebook about business metrics. #LivingMyBestLife

Sometimes just starting is enough. Today starting was more difficult than usual, but I did some work I'm happy with. I'll take the win.

I love my surface pro. It's a couple generations old now but it's still the best mobile device I've ever owned. It makes me happy every time I use it.
