We should re-ban stock buybacks. Short of that, they should charge companies a 100% premium on shares they buy. The extra money goes towards shares bought on behalf of the employees at that same company for their retirement fund. Treat it like a pension with vestment periods for years of service.

Make them pay for it. I know when Colorado received absurd requests for information via the CO Open Records Act they reserved the right to bill the requestor for time and effort for larger requests. It’s a fair way to keep public servants from being bogged down by exactly this kind of politics.

A proposal: a class action lawsuit against American billionaires for infringing on the working class’ pursuit of happiness. Assets & wealth are seized from billionaires until they are millionaires again. The seized wealth is put in a public trust, its use is voted by the citizenry every 5 years.

We really need a more robust verification system to protect our voting rights as the fulcrum of our democracy. Something as simple as vote confirmation for every citizen would go a long way. Do you know if your vote was counted correctly? I can only confirm it was received, but not counted.

I am still suspicious the American people actually did elect Donald Trump. There are statistically significant anomalies in at least one study on voting patterns in Nevada that warrant further investigation, both to replicate findings from NV and search for similar trends in other states.

Feels redundant to say out loud but if “criminals” are denied a day in court to prove their innocence, everyone becomes guilty the moment they are accused. This is how fascist governments silence critics, normalizing arrests for “criminals” without due process to then be applied to dissenters.

I cannot help but think the majority of our modern social problems can be solved through education, perhaps not immediately but certainly generationally. Teaching people to discern between a valid and invalid source of information is becoming crucial knowledge to be imparted on the citizenry.
