And the Canary Islands 🇮🇨 are indeed getting a stage race in January! The Vuelta Ciclista a Canarias will run from the 14th to the 17th of January at 2.1 level. It makes perfect sense to do this and I look forward to watching it.

Seeing more opinion pieces calling for races to charge spectators a fee to stand on the side of the road. In my opinion, this would kill the soul of the sport. You have to pay to see things like CX, but I believe that road racing is a very different thing and shouldn't require paying to watch.

Looking back at the worlds, I think Matteo Jorgenson 🇺🇸 was the best rider on the day. He said himself that he had "crazy legs" on the day and covered moves from Del Toro 🇲🇽, Seixas 🇫🇷 and Pidcock 🇬🇧 with relative ease.

Pogačar 🇸🇮 is apparently very keen to race the European Championships this season despite his team not being keen on the idea. He crashed at La Vuelta a España🇪🇸 breaking his collarbone and fracturing his C7 vertebrae. I personally think it is too soon but if the doctor clears him then he will race.

Very concerning that Seixas 🇫🇷 is already thinking like this. This was the longest one day race of his career and he made a mistake. It happens! I hope he has someone who can help him see that he shouldn't have all this weight on his shoulders.
