I've encountered an issue with the internal microphone of my pc.
hardware and software information :
pc : acer Aspire A314-23P (V1.12)
kernel : Linux 7.0.11-1-cachyos
Desktop environment : KDE Plasma 6.6.5
cpu : AMD Ryzen 5 7520U
gpu : AMD Radeon 610M [Integrated]
Sound chip : ALC256 Analog
Issue :
My microphone is not working. External microphone work fine but when it come to the internal microphone, this one doesn't capture any sound.
So first I tried to see with alsamixer if the problem was bad configuration. It didn't work.
I looked if the driver was loaded : it was. But it seem that HDA codecs were missing.
So with hdajackretask, I tried to override pin 0x12 (and also 13 and 19 separately) in internal mic. Didn't work too, but when I tried to record sound with 0x12 override, I obtain white noise.
So after lot of research, I found an arch forum where someone with the same problem have resolved this issue. For what I understand, my pc is not registered in snd-soc-acp6x-mach in /sound/soc/amd/yc/.
I tried to look how I can write this entry myself, but I'm not sure of what I'm doing. On the github of cachyos (https://github.com/CachyOS/linux/blob/7.0/cachy/sound/soc/amd/yc/), i found acp6x-mach.c. I could download and maybe modify this file by adding my entry and then compiling it, but I'm very unsure of what I'm doing.
Can someone help me with that ? Is the snd-soc-acp6x is really the problem here ?
