I say this as a guy who makes these a lot to help me draw and think of writing ideas. It’s something you can’t meaningfully share with others, music taste is so personal and so very easy to judge. It’s hard to go “okay heres an arrangement of sounds i find important to him. Also One of them is bad.”

And you’ll find someones Character Playlist and think ‘why did you put this here’ and the answer could be ‘well the sound feels right if you ignore the lyrics’ or ‘that one line halfway through thats only a few words is all i wanted but i cant just add the clip’ and it’s so interesting to me.

But at the same time it’s very biased, 99/100 when you open a playlist someone made for The Character, you will find songs you think shouldn’t be there or that conflict with your idea of them, and at the same time stuff you’d never have heard that fits perfectly because music is so personalized.

I think the art of making a little playlist for the Characters is that is truly kind of the only effort made that is generally never gonna be something other people fully enjoy and understand. I absolutely will count this as a creation form because curation takes an eye.

Perception is reality and all these people see him as a human so he can really pretend, he can stifle the parts he doesnt like and pantomime humanity so well that even he can believe it if he ignores the parts that contradict.
