Then again, US propaganda was full of what can only be described as dungeons back then, equally as fictional as well.

You know, I thought I understood how deep the 3.5 DnD OGL rabbit hole went. But then occasionally you find an ebay listing that makes you do a double take. This was made in 2002?! Hey, want to play some Afghanistan? it does require the dungeons and dragons players guide though...

We've also been on the "today's spotlights" of HLJ.com for more then a day now, but tbh I have no idea how that list is put together. Stuff that was in front of us has moved down the list passing us by, so its not just release order?

You know, sometimes it takes a meme to remember that your families home city is pretty cool, actually.
History: A good general takes the terrain into account when planning a battle. Meanwhile the dutch:
My liege, Den Bosch is surrounded by swamp, we cannot dig trenches to the walls, how will we besiege the swamp dragon?

I've seen the acronym SORT: Special Operations Response Team used before. IIRC in the US its part of the prison system. I did not realize that here in the Netherlands it indicates our high risk medical emergency team, who manage to look a lot cooler while doing it then any prison goon.

I'd highly recommend "Hayao Miyazaki's Daydream Data Notes" as well as it contains so many ideas that didn't make it to the movies, but are still equally amazing. (one did make it as a model kit though)

Kind of tangential, but to me the Falconeer universe is perfect for seaplanes, which didn't launch from decks but were sometimes catapulted out!

Somehow the idea of Porco as a traditional model kit feels right, over finished figurine.

Can't speak for normal, but here in Nijmegen our protestant big/Sint-Stevenskerk is part of the city wide "novio Magica" fantasy festival. I've plaid warhammer and DnD in the church, and there is a cosplay catwalk. Last year was started with a sermon by writer/catholic priest Roderick Vonhögen.

Carnevale is a good example of the system being designed with a very specific terrain, and they provide that for the starter set, as they should! The dropzone commander starter with the buildings is also good, but none of these have the wow factor and vertical play area of necromunda.

I'd be curious to hear your take on how the blade bind rpg handles this, cause despite its very anime looks, its card based combat system involves a lot of the things that most rpgs lack. (the actual combat part of the game is also free in the demo pdf) www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/1...

The main MS design doesn't do it for me, but that aside its the animation that really doesn't land. There are a bunch of very generic action movie shots that we've seen before (getting knocked back, jumping in with sword raised etc) that just don't feel like gundam at all.
