a squiggly line △ @til.pm · 10/09/2026opensuse's "agama" installer might be the best linux installer ive seen in years. in fact I think I love opensuse 020
a squiggly line △ @til.pm · 25/08/2026what are the good jellyfin clients for windows? ive had like three in a row that happen to just not support .ass subtitles. which is strange 100
a squiggly line △ @til.pm · 20/08/2026they restored the old layout. and by restored, I mean they also put a gemini button where the new tab option used to be, to hijack muscle memory. im tired 120
a squiggly line △ @til.pm · 15/08/2026canes sauce kinda goes better with cold chicken than it does hot for some reason 120
a squiggly line △ @til.pm · 07/08/2026can I scream at whoever felt the need to "work on something" at discord and change the mobile app again 130
a squiggly line △ @til.pm · 04/08/2026can I scream at whoever thought making android chrome look like an ios app was a good idea 150
a squiggly line △ @til.pm · 04/08/2026encountered clearly ai-generated readme that REALLY sucked to read. had a visceral reaction. software development is in an interesting place 150

a squiggly line △ @til.pm · 20/07/2026it is ALWAYS a great idea to put the emperor in the "look like a fool" chamber 021
a squiggly line △ @til.pm · 23/06/2026i appreciate the "adult content" label but it being used properly is like the biggest gamble 160
a squiggly line △ @til.pm · 20/06/2026yeah I would say so. there's also the ability to tune site ranks (personally upranked MDN/archwiki because I know I use them a lot). the one caveat is I think google is still better at reverse image search 010

a squiggly line △ @til.pm · 31/05/2026although i almost certainly think its a majority mental thing. considering when i had to shut down the discord bot i made because of discord, not because of anything i personally did! probably hard to have the drive to do anything else if that just ends up being the natural result of things 020
a squiggly line △ @til.pm · 31/05/2026sometimes i look back at the couple "successful" projects ive had and im like did i become stupider or did i just become complacent with being at a certain level when i haven't had other efforts work since then 230
a squiggly line △ @til.pm · 26/04/2026random guy from tl here: its fun. its probably not good for you, especially if you haven't played a *japanese* gacha before. the most valuable currency in the game is your time consider doing some research on game mechanics and such because the game itself does not explain them very well 010
a squiggly line △ @til.pm · 21/04/2026really annoyed by some of these it job postings. stop asking 7 years of experience for "desktop support" while including sysadmin roles in their responsibilities :( 120
a squiggly line △ @til.pm · 03/04/2026i Really like when windows decides to ignore the "shut down" part of "update and shut down" 240

a squiggly line △ @til.pm · 11/03/2026hey the neovim people arent trying to forcefeed GitHub Copilot down my throat and then open five "release note" tabs from the corresponding updated plugins for today's moon phase 020
a squiggly line △ @til.pm · 11/03/2026maybe i should go back to using neovim because using vscode has gotten overstimulating for some reason 230

a squiggly line △ @til.pm · 01/03/2026for the first time in like a decade I went to the theater to watch BOANE 9.5/10 only lost points because AMC charged me a 5 dollar convenience fee and I needed to take the frustration out somewhere 320
a squiggly line △ @til.pm · 27/02/2026with that I've given a lot more money to fan artists than I have the actual game I certainly hope it stays this way 010
