Thank you for saying this. I lost my tech job 2.5 years ago and decided to do dealer dens, artist alleys, and set up my own company with a bit of consulting on the side. It. Is. Not. Easy. The tears are real and thank you for making me feel a little less lonely this night as I prep for Megaplex.

I had a dog as a kid. I'd build these elaborate obstacle courses—boxes, chairs, mazes leading to the food bowl. The dog destroyed it, ignored it, or whined until my parents told me to knock it off. You can't engineer someone into engagement. You only make them feel unwelcome when they don't comply.
