Recent(ish) design sheets I've done for the Sonic comics. Some text on Blackwood and Dapple's pages was removed as it referenced an earlier version of the story and was no longer accurate. Soleil/Lunar's sheet was done before the difference between them was fully figured out, thus the single name

Model sheet for Soleil and Lunar the sugar glider

I've had some invasive breathing issues that have exacerbated over time. The surgeon I spoke to said I needed a septoplasty + nasal reconstruction. There are more details I couldn't fit here on the page itself! please consider donating to & sharing my gofundme to cover my operation. thank you ❤️

Some Kooky & Caroline sketches! Just a bit of exploration with expressions and stuff, I have a lot of fun drawing these two :>

Character sketches for Caroline, with a caption reading: “Caroline tries her best to hide her feelings for Kooky, out of fear of her close-minded dad finding out. She’s not very subtle, though”.

Character sketches of Kooky, with a caption reading: “Kooky is thoroughly unbothered, she just wants her”.

Superman, Lois Lane, and The American Way. #Art #Comics #DCcomics #Superman

American Way
pg 1
panel 1: a sci-fi rocket flies through space.
caption: In the vastness of space, a world beyond our imagination falls into destruction. A rocket containing its soul survivor travels across the cosmos.

panel 2: we see a young brown Chinese Indonesian girl smiling happily at nasi tumpeng meal in front of her. Her parents sit beside her, also happy.
caption: Years later, on Earth, a young Chinese Indonesian girl witnesses the massacre of her people.

panel 3: a barongsai head is burned.
caption: Chinese culture was banned from the public for years. Their names changed to assimilate with the rest of the Indonesian people.

panel 4- a looted building on fire.
caption: Much like how it was for Jewish people in Europe, the Chinese were often scapegoats for political tension in Indonesia.

panel 5- the young girl is carried by her father (a light skinned Chinese man with glasses) as he walks through a crowd.
caption: They were the scheming greedy minorities, hellbent on taking over the world. This sentiment was a holdover from Dutch colonialism. The girl's father warns her:
father: <This isn't the first time something like this happened, and it won't be the last.>

panel 6- darkness.
caption: she didn't know it at the time, but this was the American Way at work.

page 2
panel 1: a baby cries as it is carried by an elderly couple.
caption: The rocket lands near a farm in Smallville, Kansas. An old Jewish couple raise the young survivor as their own son.

panel 2- the young Chinese Indonesian girl is carried away by her parents, who are despondent. She sobs.
caption: Across the Earth, the girl and her parents flee their home. The parents recall what they witnessed 30 years ago.

Panel 3- flashback of Indonesian citizens, a man in a mandarin collar and sarong with a woman wearing a scarf, glancing to the side.
caption: The United States funded the disappearance and mass deaths of alleged socialists,

Panel 4- Two women talk to each other. One is light skinned, wears glasses and holds a book. The other is dark skinned and wears a headscarf.
caption: Gerwani feminists, trade unionists,

Panel 5- A Chinese citizen prays in front of incense sticks.
caption: along with racial and religious minorities through the Indonesian military and right wing.

Panel 6-the young girl and her parents walk amongst the wreckage of looted buildings.
caption: to the United States, it was a crime for the communists to want something different for themselves. Millions of lives were the price to pay for America's anti-communist crusade in the Cold War.

Panel 7- ashes spread across a lit fire off panel.
caption: "The Jakarta Method" would be exported to other countries to cement America's place as a global superpower. A scheme to take over the world.

Page 3

panel 1- a young boy levitates above crops, his eyes red from recent use of laser vision.
caption: The couple learn that their adopted child possessed inhuman power. But they knew how this would look. He was, after all, a foreigner.

Panel 2- close up of a sewing machine, sewing a Superman super suit. We see the House of El "S" symbol up close.
caption: To protect him, they made sure his displays of power never threatened the American conscience. He would be presented as a strongman who served the people.

Panel 3- Statue of Liberty.
caption: The young girl and her family arrive at the land of opportunity. Home of the American dream.

Panel 4- the young girl, in a kebaya and sarong, looks sadly to the ground.
caption: The girl if forced, again, to change her name. Whatever remains of her home are stripped from her over time.

Panel 5- the girl grows up into a teen. She takes off her kebaya, and now wears trousers.
caption: This is the American way, the song of assimilation. The girl naively hopes she can rise above bigotry if she plays by these rules.

Panel 6- The teen is now a grown woman. She is in a purple business suit and skirt, her hair tied in a neat bun.
caption: maybe she could prove that she wasn't the subhuman they saw.

Page 4
panel 1- Superman stands proudly against a clear blue sky.
caption: An exceptional strongman debuts in Metropolis. He is dubbed the "Superman" by that very girl, now fully grown. When asked about the source of his abilities, he assures the press that there's nothing abnormal about him.

panel 2- a young Black girl holds Superman's hand, as a white boy in a cap smiles next to her.
caption: His greatest strength is his humanity.

panel 3- Superman smiles as reporter microphones surround him.
caption: He makes sure to emphasize this point, just as his adopted parents taught him.

panel 4- Superman stands proudly next to the American flag.
caption: So that no one would question his citizenship.

panel 5 & 6- A crowd of Americans cheer, clapping their hands and raising their children above their shoulders happily. Superman lifts a car above his head.
caption: It's the American Way to be kind, to champion the oppressed.
Superman: What could be more human?

panel 7- The grown Chinese Indonesian woman holds a journalist's recorder. She has an ambiguous expression.
caption: Superman is human. He promises.

panel 8- The woman, Lois Lane, walks past Superman- her eyes closed. Superman walks past her with his eyes mirrored and closed.
caption: When Superman and this woman assure others that they are not alien, when they have to hide how alike they truly are... that is the American Way. Why, it's the American Dream.

im also saving webpages on the wayback, but with the way tapas is, the archives kinda break if you navigate via the ui. you gotta go directly to each episode's url. not the best way to access the comics.

060

TIG @tigertoony.com · 25/09/2026

does anybody know of tools to make archival smoother? screenshotting is tedious.

260

TIG @tigertoony.com · 25/09/2026

thinking about this again because i'm seeing a lot of talk directing authors of places to move to, but not much talk about archival for comics whose authors aren't around anymore to move their work.

it is funny that i can have cool epic dreams where im mary sue-ing it up so fun style. but i also have terrible stress dreams where i cant lock a door in some filthy fucked up bathroom.

TIG @tigertoony.com · 23/09/2026

bro you can just fly around in ur dreams and have ur brain generate landscapes. its so epic bro. i can make my own personal backrooms. my own poolrooms. my own slenderman type forest where i make the pages.

090

TIG @tigertoony.com · 23/09/2026

this whole thing reminds me of the smackjeeves shut down. but i feel the way tapas' design and code will make archival efforts more tedious. smackjeeves was more old school in design which helped make things go smoother.

090

TIG @tigertoony.com · 23/09/2026

hope there are efforts to preserve comics on tapas before its shut down. especially obscure indie ones from authors who have since disappeared from online spaces. those comics will likely be completely lost if no one backs them up.
