My latest comm from @pembrokewkorgi.bsky.social Michael is getting into magic, and he knows a few good tricks - but his biggest trick is how he's managed to temporarily grow a third set of arms!

Also, the White Sox need to do whatever they can to get Benitendi off the team. Can you buy out his contract? Can you trade him while agreeing to pay his remaining salary? Doesn't matter, get him out. The team needs to admit they slipped up with him and let someone more talented take over.

And will we actually pay these players someday? The Sox already lost on so many players because they didn't want to pay. They're going to have to give out that nine-digit deal someday. Assuming there's someone who is worth it. Although I like to believe the Sox should be appealing to free agents...

This season will go down as a success, as we know for certain we have a core to work with that will only get better - Vargas, Meidroth, Murakami, Teel, B and C Montgomery, etc. The question is, will we get real pitching help? Will they finally trust Schultz and Hagen Smith as viable starters?

The White Sox have learned the hard way tonight that they still have a long way to go - avoiding strikeouts, having starting pitchers that can actually last, having a viable bullpen, etc. Still, having a winning record and winning a playoff series is more than anyone could have expected.

Even if AI does directly contribute to a massive plane wreck or a huge act of terror the AI supporters will still be out there trying to convince us it wasn't the AI that did it or heavily contributed to it. They're so deep into it that they will defend it even if there's no viable argument for them

If Tillis were really concerned he would have actually voted to convict Trump for the Jan. 6 assault on the Capitol. At least Richard Burr had the decency to vote to convict Trump. Granted, he announced years beforehand he was retiring from politics after his term ended, but still.

And even if these right-leaning charities did give money to worthy causes, how much actually goes to them? Very little, probably. Inspiration Ministries is especially infamous for this. Their CEO earns at least $5m a year, and they spend loads on TV space on various UHF networks.

Lots of these programs still exist today and they're mainly to try and convince people their lives will be better if they give them their money to help support undefined causes. How many elderly persons left at least half their assets to these groups? More than you realize.

Also, it seems like there's a disturbing number of drug commercials on these sports broadcasts. It's like they're preying on people to make them think they need certain drugs. So now our games are cluttered with drug, gambling and political ads.

Is anyone else here disturbed by the increasing number of political ads on football broadcasts? Interestingly enough, all these ads are on one side of the aisle. And they're almost always about doom and gloom and panic over things that likely aren't actually happening.

And yes, I acknowledge that the Sox were beneficiaries of being in an American League dominated heavily by three teams in a different division. But look on the bright side - all six AL teams in the playoffs were .500 or better.

And usually people don't take the White Sox that seriously either. The fact that the Sox did this after three straight 100-loss seasons makes this an even greater deal! The Sox aren't the only one to make the playoffs after a 100-loss season, but getting there is a huge feat in its own.

To say that the White Sox winning their playoff series over Houston today was big is an understatement. This is just the fourth playoff series win for the team since the 1917 World Series. And three of those wins were in 2005!
