Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 27/09/2025The lack of any dominant team in the American League makes the season look like a simulation where every team is regressed to the mean. 100
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 26/09/2025The 2025 Tigers have now matched the win total of the 2024 Tigers. 000
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 24/09/2025This year, the Tigers are in the process of the biggest collapse in MLB history. Last season, they had one of the most unimaginable comebacks ever. Their record is the same, but the seasons are so different. 120
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 20/09/2025Torkelson and Greene have become the second pair of homegrown Tigers to hit 30 homeruns in the same season. The only other duo was Greenberg and York in 1937, 1938 and 1940. Hat tip to chasfh at Motown Forums. 030
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 07/06/2025Jahmai Jones is the 13th Jones to play for the Tigers. The best one was early 20th Century outfielder Davy Jones who accumulated 9 WAR. www.baseball-reference.com/players/j/jo...baseball-reference.com 000
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 31/05/2025Their offense has been great this year, a lot better than expected. 000
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 31/05/2025I am not being critical of them using him. It's just that relievers are so unreliable from year to year and at this point I don't have the confidence in our bullpen that I did the second half of last year. I think that they'll be looking to improve their pen at the deadline. 000
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 31/05/2025It's disappointing that the Tigers had nobody better than Brieske available to pitch in the 8th inning of a 0-0 game. Their bullpen hasn't blown a lot of games this year, but I think that's where they'll be looking for help at the deadline. 200
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 31/05/2025Ryan Cusick appears to be a classic good stuff poor command minor league pitcher who walks everybody. I am assuming the Tigers see something that they think they can fix. 100
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 25/05/2025It's been a rough series. This is the first time since the opening series versus the Dodgers that Tigers fans have been brought back to reality. They've got a good team, but it's not going to be all magic all the time. 030
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 14/05/2025I am finally watching Tigers extra inning games now even though it's fake baseball. That's how much I like the 2025 Tigers. 000

Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 11/05/2025Wow, the Rockies are awful. The Padres crushed them 21-0 today. The only more lopsided shutout since 1900 was 22-0 by the Pirates over the Cubs on September 16, 1975. 130
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 09/05/2025Every hitter on the Tigers active roster has a wRC+ of more than 100 except Jace Jung. 010
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 08/05/2025It's going to be really difficult seeing the 1980s Tigers pass away. That will always be my team and he was one of my favorites. 020
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 08/05/2025Rest in Peace Chet Lemon. One of the stalwarts of the 1980s Tigers, Mr Lemon was underrated because he was surrounded by so much talent. He was really good though, almost Hall of Fame quality. This one makes me sad. 130
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 27/04/2025So far this year, this is the most entertaining Tigers team in a long time. They are playing well in EVERY phase of the game and everyone is contributing. As good as the 2011-2014 team was, they were very top heavy and always had weaknesses. The current team looks more like the mid 80s teams. 071
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 27/04/2025Of all the great things happening with the Tigers so far, I am most happy about Torkelson. After all the frustration for him and also for fans, it's great to see him get off to a tremendous start this year including big hits at the best times. 170
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 19/04/2025I've always believed that baseball managers get to much credit and too much blame for things that players do...but AJ Hinch's roster management might the best I've ever seen. 062
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 13/04/2025According to FanGraphs.com, the Tigers have the highest playoff probability of any team in the American League. I know those things need to be take with a grain of salt, but when was the last time that happened at this time of year.fangraphs.cm 000
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 08/04/2025Brewer Hicklen is getting the call to replace the injured Margot...This makes sense because I used to think the Tigers organization should be more like the Brewers! I say "used to" because I like where the Tigers are going now. 010

Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 29/03/2025I still don't like instant replay review. It takes too long and they still get it wrong too often...Also hate hate hate hate the extra inning runner. 010
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 28/03/2025Brewer - or is it Tiger - Hicklen appears to be a career minor leaguer who can play all 3 outfield positions and can steal a bunch of bases. I guess he is insurance for the next injured outfielder. 010
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 28/03/2025Torkelson becomes the 7th Tiger to draw 4 walks and hit a homer in the same game. The last one was JD Martinez in 2017 (2 hrs, 4 walks). Others were Deer, C. Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 26/03/2025So, the Tigers center fielders are Margot and Kreidler. Who would have guessed that a month ago? Meadows is going to be out at least a couple of months and who knows how well he will recover? That is a huge blow. 010
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 26/03/2025I figured they wanted a spot for Hanifee and I didn't know who they would drop. I thought they might go with one lefty. Thinking more about it though, Foley losing his closer role in the playoffs might have been a clue. 010
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 26/03/2025He lost his closer role during the playoffs last year, so I think it's a matter of not having confidence in him. They also wanted to clear a spot on the roster for Brenan Hanifee. It's still surprising to me though. 020
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 26/03/2025I definitely did not have Jason Foley to Toledo on my radar. 210
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 23/03/2025Unfortunately his defensive numbers have slipped the past couple of years. If he plays center field well enough to keep Greene in left, I guess he'll have some value. 000
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 23/03/2025The Tigers signed Manuel Margot. I was guessing that might happen when I saw him released. Was once a good prospect who could run and field. Not very exciting now, but he is a capable outfielder and they are really thin in that area at the moment. 200
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 22/03/2025Jobe makes the rotation, Maeda to the bullpen and Montero to Toledo per Cody Stavenhagen. 130

Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 13/02/2025The Tigers apparently made a solid offer to Bregman. It gives me hope that they won't be shy when the right players are available. As for hitters not liking Detroit, the flip side is they were able to sign Flaherty probably because Detroit is is a good place for pitchers for multiple reasons. 010
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 13/02/2025I really wanted the Tigers get to Bregman. They are in a winnable division and he could have made a significant difference while they still have Skubal. I knew it was a long shot though especially once they started talking about short-term deals with opt outs. Comerica is not the place for that. 110
Lee Panas @tiger337.bsky.social · 13/02/2025Brebbia gets a good number of strikeouts, but is an extreme flyball pitcher who gives up a bunch of home runs. Maybe Comerica will help him. I'm not sure he is better than their top 8 relievers, but they need a lot depth and he's another decent arm. 020
