Hi #PortfolioDay! I'm Tiffany, an illustrator from the UK making historical, queer, & fantasy art, including for books and TTRPGs. I'm open for work from November. www.tiffanybaxter.com 💌tiffany.baxter@btinternet.com
Two devilish lesbians do the polka in a burning, stormy, hellscape. They are both wearing 19th century fancy dress costumes featuring devilish motifs. The figure on the left has grey skin, black curled hair and gold-ram like horns. A tiny imp is sat among flames on her head. The devil on the right has pinkish red skin and white hair swept up; her gold horns are thin and curl back from her forehead. Their pointed tails are crossed over each other. The border is inspired by medieval doom paintings & features people burning in a Hellmouth, demons, angels & demonic sigils.
An illustration of Francesca & Michaela from Bridgerton. They are walking with their arms around each other's waists, their free arms held above their heads pulling with them the sky in the form of a great length of cloth that is folding around them. Michaela is a Black woman with tight curls in an updo; her simple empire line dress is forest green & she has green drop earrings. Francesca is a white woman in a blue dress, with part of her light brown hair held up in a bun, the rest in a large ringlets. The background is an abstractly rendered Highland landscape in coloured pencils. The border is an aerial view of trees rendered the same.A black and white ink drawing of the overgrown ruins at Rievaulx Abbey in Yorkshire. A male couple is standing within, their backs to us and embracing in a quiet moment together. An illustration for a bookmark of a wyrm, coiled upon itself in an Anglo-Saxon and Norse inspired style with bright colours upon a black background. A square speech bubble reads: 'HWÆT!'Next to it:Tyne reverse side illustration; the same image but in monochrome dark red. The text is Old English and reads:Hwæt. We Gardena in geardagum,þeodcyninga, þrym gefrunon,hu ða æþelingas ellen fremedon.(Translation: LO, praise of the prowess of people-kingsof spear-armed Danes, in days long sped,we have heard, and what honour the athelings won!)

The background is inspired by the work of John Martin, specifically his paintings of Pandemonium from John Milton's Paradise Lost. The border meanwhile is inspired by medieval wall paintings, especially doom paintings some of which I got to see locally.

Wanted to see what 18th century saddles were like for a job & came across this equestrian print featuring a very Long and somewhat Upsetting looking horse named Lamprie. So now you all have to see it too.
A print from the 18th century of a horse and rider (who I think may be a jockey judging by the clothing). The horse is exceptionally large with a long slender neck and very tall legs. It has big eyes with a somewhat distressed expression.

If you see this, post your art with marginalia!
Norma, Barney and Pugsley from Dead End: Paranormal Park investigating a creepy wood with a spooky castle in the distance on a hill. Behind them is a mysterious doorway of gnarled trees and a chequered floor, curtains hang seeming to contain the night sky itself. The decorative border reads ‘Court of Elfame’ at the top, with strange plants fed by hearts and lungs at the roots either side holding a Moon and star in their branches. Artful looking green and white dragons with their lithe curling bodies are blow this with a red imp and a mischievous gnome entangled within brambles. 🪔Window to the Past🪔 A real pleasure to illustrate this piece for @lanternecrucible.bsky.social in which her OC meets the boy she was in the past.
In a dense forest a woman in armour comes across a weathered gothic portal, through which she sees her younger self; a boy in simple blue and red clothing waving back at her. The woman has four arms, purple hair & lilac skin and two fluffy moth antennae. The boy has white skin and brown hair. The view through the portal is faded and there are a variety of lanterns upon the trees around it.

The decorative border has elderflower and elderberries.

Discovered a woman in the National Portrait Gallery today called Lydia whose surname was Foote. But whose maiden name…was Legg. Besides her funny name, the photo she had with her friend Miss Raynham is very sweet.
An old carte de visite (tiny photo cards Victorians had done to then give out to friends, family, etc) of two women. They both look at the camera, smiling fondly. The woman on the left rests her head on the shoulder of the other who is leaning forward against the back of a chair (I think). The gallery description of the photo. It reads:
