Why are people saying TV does nothing in TPOT, this isn’t even a ‘respect my opinion’ situation anymore it’s legit wrong. Disliking TV as a character is fine but he’s fundamentally different from the TPOT cast. TV does stuff and is helpful, he communicates differently from others #bfdi #osc #tpot

Ultimately though, if you don’t like shows not having voice acting, that’s completely subjective, I just strive for the creators of these object shows being understood amongst people, I don’t have this goal just because I have my own but many people have a similar situation and I love text shows

Heck, I’d probably have cancelled it at the time, so making your object show a text show is something that I hate being treated as a “do not recommend” option because it’s a very good option imo. It in fact, can save an object show, at least from my experience

I’ll be honest. If my show (TGOS) used voice acting, I wouldn’t have made 23 episodes, I wouldn’t have made a movie, and I wouldn’t have made 6 hours of content, I would be stuck way before, maybe even episode 1.

Something I’ve felt is that the reasoning behind text shows being text shows is never talked about at all, but I did make a youtube video of my own that shows this perspective. The most common reasons being a crowded home, not having the voice range, or not wanting to reveal your voice to the public

What I also dislike is when people would just try to pressure (or even try to force) a creator to use voice acting instead, because they don’t like text shows.

Plus it’s definitely not helpful as a text object show creator if I just get a comment that only focuses on the fact my show uses text, I am fully aware of that and honestly I will continue to use text.

What I dislike is when every other aspect of the show is pretty much dismissed, because there are many other factors to what makes an object show good, like writing. Some text shows can have phenomenal writing and visuals and I love that

I also feel this for -ly shows A lot of them focus more on being “-ly” than they do being shows And I also noticed a lot of TDOS-esque humour Albeit they’re made likely in a short period of time but a simple brainstorming session can suffice

Though that’s because they’re the same 2 jokes which originated from BFDI I feel like I wouldn’t be saying all this if only one object show used heavy inspiration of pre split BFB But it feels community wide I just prefer it when shows actively try to do what it takes to be their own thing

Inspiration imo is best when that’s just how a character starts but I always prefer it when said character goes their own direction I also feel that some minor writing aspects have heavy and widespread inspiration, like accidental team names (I really dislike a lot of them)

I def find that nowadays with pre split BFB especially with the rise of characters like Clock, Animatic and Circle (OBS), it gets oversaturated after a while, even if I like Clock and Animatic quite a bit I just feel like every time I see another host like that they just get less entertaining to me

I like it when object shows stand out as their own thing, like I don’t love ONE that much but it’s story based and so is II2, yet they’re entirely different. I feel like my take applies more to the comedy side of things, where I feel humour is passed down a lot

I accepted that it’s kind of a cycle that gets repeated overtime, but lowkey I feel tired of writing in many object shows being heavily inspired (especially from pre split nowadays) I love inspiration but I’m not big on a huge part of many object shows being that they’re inspired #objectshow #osc

Also for me, I use pretty simplistic definitions to easily distinguish a joke show from any other object show A joke show is an object show that does not take itself seriously at all Object shows that do take themselves seriously imo, are not joke shows

It did have like 2 inside jokes in total but otherwise I’m happy with it very This was 2021 so back then I was really not mature Speaking of which a joke show with lots of inside jokes is something that 99% of viewers won’t get, I don’t recommend it (but that’s imo)

I did make a joke show of my own (Most Generic Object Show of All Time) and whether this be biased or not, I felt it aged super well. I used my own humour and my own perspective to look at stuff that are somewhat overused in object shows, so I love MGOSOAT to this day

I feel like cliches work a lot better in object shows that aren’t jokey because joke shows imo never hit if the humour is so similar you can read what the rest of the ep will be like I prefer it when joke shows use the creator’s very own sense of humour that isn’t so heavily based on other shows
