Archaeologists uncovered a 300-meter (984-foot) section of Jerusalem’s ancient Lower Aqueduct near Kibbutz Ramat Rachel. First constructed during the Hasmonean dynasty in the Second Temple period, it transported water to the Temple Mount and remarkably remained in use for nearly 2,000 years.
