Oh well, whatever, never mind.
This is a billboard in Iran that says 'Great Victory! Strait of Hormuz', and a picture of Trump under water with a dollar bill. Apparently none of the AP writers realize that it's a spoof on the Nirvana album art for 'Nevermind', which is actually fucking hilarious.

Finished @tkingfisher.com's Wolf Worm. It was excellent - as her work always is! And very, very disgusting - even more so than most of her horror. I can handle sentient puppet-master fungi, but the insect/screw worm gore was...a lot. Not unrelated: www.reuters.com/business/hea...

One of my favorite plants, Clerodendrum trichotomum, has purple pollen, leaves that smell like peanut butter, and flowers that smell like jasmine. It also has winter calyxes and fruits that look like this. So much bang for the botanical buck. #botany #flowers #plants #PNWgardening #bloom

I wish I'd known this when I was caught in a rip current off Bocas Del Toro 20 years ago. I didn't die, but it was a near thing and unbelievably terrifying to be unable to get closer to land no matter how hard I swam.

I just finished @sarahreesbrennan.bsky.social's 'Long Live Evil', and it was absolutely brilliant. The publisher blurb calls it a send up of fantasy/romantasy, but to me it reads more as a scathing (and hilarious and heart-wrenching) commentary on society & loneliness. #books #booksky
