Day 4/ We have improved steering to be instant, leading to the model now reacting much faster to adjustments you make, allowing you to course-correct direction in realtime and not have the model waste effort. Also releasing GPT-6.1 Sol ultrafast. The two work very well together.

I'll write more extensively about this, but OpenAI token != A\ token. We use different tokenizers. And OpenAI's tokenizer is significantly more efficient. This is important given you pay per token over the API and in usage. The difference is ~30% in number of tokens, definitely significant.

Turns out GPT-5.6 Sol is actually SoTA on ARC-AGI-3. Just took two setting changes. You just have to allow it to reason and work over multiple context windows with the help of our canonical compaction implementation. openai.com/index/how-two-settings-t…
