The partial eclipse being describes as "once-in-a-generation" makes me feel very old, considering I vividly remember watching the 1999 total eclipse.

Besiege is such an important game to me; some of the first gaming video content I edited, the game I was playing first time I had a popular Twitch stream and now, this reformatted & reposted video, has just helped my YouTube channel reach 500 subscribers. More soon. @spiderlinggames.bsky.social ❤️

Over a decade ago, before YouTube Shorts were a things, I made some silly little short YouTube videos from the game Besiege. So now I've reformatted them for a more... contemporary audience. youtube.com/shorts/K6kIS...

If anyone else is playing Skyrim on Steam Deck w/ controller and occasionally the Bluetooth disconnects & the game stops responding, press the Xbox button to bring up the Steam overlay, you can go to controller settings and switch the order of controller and it should start working again.

Just finished 007 First Light, really enjoyed it! Couple janky things about it but it’s otherwise very good! Hope IO Interactive get to make a sequel.

I’ve been both replaying the Uncharted games and rewatching Firefly, I was thinking how similar the soundtracks and some of the musical stings are. Turns out they were both composed by the same person! (Greg Edmonson) which is cool to learn!

Credit roll on Pokopia and I’m not done yet, one of thee most fun games I’ve played in a long time. Takes a bunch of inspiration from a number of games and combines it into something better. If you have a Switch 2, highly recommend checking out!

The new Weekly Grand mode in Trackmania is a cool concept but they really NEED to remove car collision from it, getting sideswiped by an opponent six minutes into a ten minute long race is NOT fun.

Finished Old School Rally after about a dozen hours of gameplay, enjoyed it enough to play a dozen more to get the final few achievements!

A screenshot from the game Old School Rally, a blue car in the foreground is driving along a bridge, behind it race track roads wind around in the distance. Green landscape meets and partly cloudy sky on the horizon. The graphics are similar to those of early 3D games, such as Colin McRae Rally 2 on the original PlayStation.

It took a while but I finally finished Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. I really enjoyed it a lot and am looking forward to part 3, hope they round out the story in a satisfying way!

A screenshot from the game Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Cloud - a guy with a sword in his back stands in-front of two female characters, Yuffie and Tifa. The three of them seem to be stood on top of a cliff above the ocean. Jagged rocks stick out from the sea in the distance.

Keeper is an absolutely beautiful game! Probably best it doesn't seem to have a photo mode because I would likely spend hours in it...

Fully invested in The Seance of Blake Manor at the moment; it's Return of the Obra Dinn meets The Case of the Golden Idol with a Blue Prince coat of paint. It's *very* good so far - I think I'm around half way through - I hope it ends as strongly as it begins!

Best I can tell the ONLY part of the game that actively encourages PvP is these "deal damage to raiders" feats? I love the fact PvP is an option as it seems the majority of people are happy being friendly but it keeps you on your toes with every player interaction.

I just spent the evening with a “deal damage to raiders” feat to do but didn’t do it at all because every. single. person. we came across was friendly and either wanted to help or were happy minding their own business. I really hope that way of playing doesn’t go away as people progress.

000

ThropDead @thropdead.bsky.social · 02/11/2025

I know it’s “PvPvE” but every single person we encountered in ARC Raiders today was friendly and helped or extracted with us. And I know some people really want to do the PvP but I really hope the most common way of playing remains being friendly. REALLY enjoying that about the game at the moment!
