This week I had to explain that Gilt does not have a ‘stuffy’ religious tone. It is varied and unpredictable. Like mythology in general. Look, you can choose to be a stodgy pedant at times. That’s up to you, though, not me.

Dialogue choices where the player is forced to choose whether to correct the grammatical error of a character who is dangling from a roof.

Wrote this late last night so resharing! Nighthawks is a triumph: a wonderfully compelling piece of interactive fiction that constructs an well-realised little world in your mind and populates it with memorable characters. Funny, tragic, dramatic, emotional, it's everything I hoped it would be.

Nah, it wasn’t intentional. And I’ve had players claim he’s an exact image of about 10 different people. I think it’s just the expression!

Whoa that CGA anti aliasing is HOT

It’s so hard to try and characterise this game because it’s easy to go “oh it’s just really weirdo SFF” but everything is done with great intent, with care and sensitivity. Everything is done in reference to and reverence of something that is important to me. I hope that will come across in it.

I ink up my fountain pens as though I am dealing with dangerous chemicals. Kitchen sink only. Always use a syringe where possible, even to fill a converter. No messing about with full bottles of ink on my nice desk like those horror photos you see on r/fountainpens DAILY.
